Section - Cape Town to Nairobi

South Africa | Namibia | Botswana | Sambia | Malawi | Tansania | Kenia

After a few days in the great city of Cape Town, we start our engines and head out to explore the African continent.

This feeling is hard to describe… What do we have to expect? How are the roads? How friendly are the people? Riding north, just a couple of days in South Africa are totally inspiring.

Just around the corner are Namibia and the Namib Naukluft Park, with its incredible desert. We then ride into Swakopmund, an old city full of German history. Through Windhoek we reach Botswana – which sounds even more adventurous! Absolute musts are the Okavango Delta and, later on, the Victoria Falls.

 

Riding through Zambia we get to Malawi, famous for its Malawi Lake. We will have another rest day in this area. Once we get to Tanzania we continue to Dar Es Salaam. Here we will go by boat to Zanzibar - time to relax. Ngorongoro National Park is just a dream for most people, and so for us. It is a great place – possibly the best place – to see wildlife! After this incredible ride we finish the Africa section with four days of relaxation in Nairobi.
