Southern Spain in spring and fall is the perfect destination for an outstanding motorcycle tour. This trip is a great one week escape from the daily grind! Spain, and in particular, Andalusia, was always associated with fiery steeds and proud horsemen. They do have plenty of fire – our horses, that is. Experience an unforgettable motorcycle tour through Andalusia! We are the knights, in our colorful suits of armor. So let’s ride on our stallions, first up the small Sierras to Granada, home of the Alhambra, the most splendid palace the Moorish caliphs ever built. It is a magnificent picture, with the snow-covered Sierra Nevada as a backdrop.
Next on our trail is Antequera, an old Andalusian town with historic buildings around every corner. From here the road meanders through rolling hills covered with olive and almond tree groves. Black fighting bulls rub their hides lazily on rough cork oaks near Arcos de la Frontera. We stop in Gibraltar, not far from Africa, before we arrive at the spectacular town of Ronda situated on both sides of the Tajo Canyon, which is very narrow and 500 ft deep. The nearby bullfighting arena is said to be the place where the classical Spanish bullfight was first celebrated. On the last day we ride our high-tech horses through the Sierra and along the white beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. Is it our imagination, or do we really hear one of our boxers scrape a hind leg on the ground for a farewell?
