Apart from the beer to be tasted, there is lots to see in that town. The next day‘s ride takes us to Ehingen, a beautiful town at the southern fringe of the Schwäbische Alb. On we ride to Rothaus, where, on our first rest day, we can sample some of the best roads of the Black Forest and venture into Switzerland. Since the brewery is right next to the hotel, the brews served at the bar and in the beer garden are guaranteed to be fresh. The next day, we ride curvy roads through the Black
Forest and Alsace. Vineyards line the roadside as we move across the Rhine Valley towards France.
After a night in Nancy, we continue on to Reims, where, on our second rest day, we can trace the origins of Champagne and visit the impressive cathedral, where the kings of France were crowned for 700 years. Our next destination is the Belgian city of Dinant, where we can try to figure out the differences between Belgian and German beers. Twisty roads through the Ardennes Mountains take us to Erpeldange in Luxembourg, a tiny country boasting not only 157 banks, but also beautiful scenery, good beer and many castles. Back in Germany, we will sample the roads of the Eifel region and after a night in Cochem, we will follow the Mosel and Rhine Valleys back to Mainz, where our trip of a lifetime comes to an end.
