This motorcycle tour takes you to the most stunning locations in Sweden and Norway – the Norwegian Fjords. The tour starts in Sweden, in Göteborg. From here we head north to Oslo, the capital of Norway and one of the smallest capital cities in the world. We’ll spend a rest day here, leaving enough time to visit the castle, explore the old town and learn about the Vikings at the National Museum.
Through the wild and untouched Telemark region we ride west, spending a night in Vradal before we reach the fjords the next day. Breathtaking scenery surrounds us as we descend to Stavanger, our home for one night. The next day we ride along and cross fjords so many times that you will lose count. Our destination is Bergen, considered to be the most beautiful city in Norway. Don’t worry about its reputation for being the wettest place in the country; the air is so clean and crisp and the seafood so fresh that you will hardly notice a few drops of moisture. Via Sogndal we reach Jotunheimen National Park, home to Scandinavia’s highest mountains and countless glaciers.
The scenery will remind you of Antarctica! We’ll ride to Dalsnibba, Scandinavia’s highest road at 5,000 ft, cruise along Geiranger Fjord on a ferry, navigate the switchbacks of the Trollstigen, and marvel at the mile-high Trollveggen, Europe’s highest vertical rock wall. And in Ålesund, you can enjoy an endless sunset. Not quite the midnight sun, but close.
