Through the beautiful lake district we curve to Bariloche, the number one ski resort in South America! Then enjoy your first rest day in the Latin Alps. Going south our roads constantly vary from good pavement to gravel. Through Esquel, Puyuhuapi and Coyhaique, we arrive at the world famous Perito Moreno Glacier, close to Calafate – what an amazing place for our second rest day!
The further south we travel, the more challenging the ride gets; gravel roads and strong side-winds are common. Crossing the border back to Chile, the Torres del Paine National Park awaits us. Another rest day gives us the chance to explore this picturesque massif by foot or, of course, on our bikes. Now it’s time to take the ferry; Strait of Magellan, here we come! Once on the other side, we ride our bikes across Tierra del Fuego, the last stretch of the Pan-American Highway, down to Ushuaia – the end of the world!
On our last rest day we have the opportunity to visit the nearby parks, etc. before we ride via Rio Grande back to Punta Arenas in Chile. Patagonia has to offer quite some good riding!
