Good morning ladies and gentleman. Our scooters are ready to role across Vienna and its surroundings. We will see the most living like city in the world with all ist´s famous sights from our special point of view. We will ride through the morning traffic of a 2million people city al well as on unknown sideroads in the near surroundings. Hidden treasures, castels, high mountains, and smooth rolling hills of vineyards will be our playground for the next week.
I am looking foward to get to know my tourmembers Vivien, Paul and David.
So we started on time with our traditional welcome briefing. I hope you enjoyed it. Scooter handover is completed and we have still a little time before dinner to see whats arround our hotel.......
Today we were lucky, we left a little bit earlier therfor very few traffic and we started our Tour visiting the "Zentralfriedhof" Viennas famous and biggest cementrie. After this we crossed the Leitha Mountainrange and got our first view overlooking the Lake Neusiedel. Fresh friutjiuce and fine coffee gave us the energy for the afternoon, A visite through the castle of Esterhazy and its museums. Again we crossed the Mountains and got back to the citylife.
Today we had the citytour son our todo list. It stopped raining just before we started and so we got started with the Castle of Schönbrunn and the Gloriette, followed by the Höhenstrasse, the Panoramic Road on the western hills where we got a coffebreak including a breathtaking view. The Ferry brought us to the other side of the river danube and we started again with a lot of city turns to get to our sights. Have a look at our pictures.....
The theme of the day was to drive through the eastern valleys of the Alps and see the cablecar bringing us to the peak of the highest mountain in the eastern alps the Schneeberg mountain.
Riding back to Vienna we past by Heiligenkreuz and the castle of Lichtenstein. It was a sunny and perfect day.
What a day, no clouds in the sky, small and curvy backroads, castels, coffee and a lunchbreak with original apricot-dumplings on the riverside. We visited th only atomic powerplant in Austria that never came to action. Our way back to the citytraffic is almmost routine.
our last riding day has to come. this week was just a second. Today we had finest riding weather, no rain 22C. We visited the original gravesite of WA Mozart and the Castels in Laxenburg and Forchtenstein. Panoramic Backroads lead us to the famous HoheWand nature park and though the vineyards south of vienna we finished our Scootertour Vienna!!
Thank You Vivien an Paul for choosing us!! I hope we will see us soon!
