Today is the first day of riding on the program. First we headed up the famous Passo della Raticosa, which is also a popular meeting place for bikers. Our photo stop brought us to a very special bridge, whose architecture was particularly responsible for steep ascents and descents. We then set off on the first off-road section with easy gravel and views of the appenin Mountains.
After a short distance in the city of Cesena we start riding thru the beautiful hilly landscape, which will escort us the whole day. We were riding on tiny asphalt roads as well as on dirt roads. We even had the adventure of a muddy section and we all loved the challenge! At the end of the day we were rewarded with a beautiful accommodation with an outstanding view. Thanks to our dear friend Aaron we could enjoy a beautiful evening together celebrating his Birthday.
Today, riding day 3, brought us quite a few different off-road passages, from river crossings to rough scree. First we climbed over 1500m up to Monte Nerone, which looks stunning with its transmission mast. We then continued through the wooded landscapes of the beautiful Umbria region, with many mud holes filled with water due to the rainfall of the last few days. We reached our destination, Lago di Trasimeno, in the early evening and enjoyed the sunset on the lake with a boat beer.
On a sunny morning we start from beautiful lake of Trasimeno towards to Orvieto. Temperatures around 70 degree Fahrenheit are ideal for this riding day. We go up and down on tiny asphalt roads as well as on dirt roads. On Top of a great ride we finally have Pizza for lunch. During the afternoon we visit an impressive Tower and once again enjoy the breathtaking view. Arriving and seeing Orvieto is just awesome. Thank you for this great day.
Today`s ride takes us through the beautiful Region of Umbria again. We leave Orvieto through the City Walls and Head Torwarts the Mountains where the First Rough Stone Passagen Asiat us. We Loser the time pressure and Ride through Deep Mund. Today`s route takes usover Mann passes, such as the passt della Sommer, and into Deep Forest areas. Towards the end of the day, we enjoy the view of The Valley and end the day on small Travel Passates.
On our last riding day we enjoy more of the same beautiful tiny asphalt roads and dirt path up and down the hilly landscape. For lunchtime we found a small typical ristorante preparing tasty panini for us and after a long morning we definitely enjoy this refreshment. In the late afternoon we arrive in our final destination Rom and are happy and grateful for that awesome journey.
