Morocco with US BMW dealers - salaam aleikum
22 Mär 2013
After the presentation of the new R 1200 GS by BMW, Edelweiss Bike Travel took over to show the BMW dealers of North America the secrets of Morocco. Work is done - holiday starts!!
After a short briefing we took off direction Afourer.
Motorcycle handover in front of the Atlas Medina Hotel in Marrakech and off we go... Let`s discover Morocco
The first taste what Morroco is like - everybody was excited. We left Marrakech direction north-east. The adventure starts.
Next day brought us to the Ouzoud waterfalls. 110 m high, very impressing - watch the monkeys, they are steeling everything!
Back in Marrakech some went to the Djemaa-el-Fna - the place of the behanged, a world heritage site downtown Marrakech
All kind of craftsmen, snake charmers, story tellers, all kind of food stands - a busy place! Watch the snakes.....
Whatever you want to buy - don`t forget the most important thing - bargain!!!!
Day 3 - Over Tizi-n-test pass to Agadir
for a long time the pass was the only connection between Marrakech and Agadir. Now they built a highway - thanks good, no traffic on this pass anymore - but some other issues
In the background the 12.000 ft high Toubkal, the highest peak in the Atlas mountain range
The Moroccan version of the "Passo di Stelvio" in Italy - but without traffic
We ended up in Agadir at the Atlantic Ocean

Hi Cindy, it is shaky up there :-)
Argan Oil - or goat shit oil - as Fred would say :-)
Fred is helping this young lady graining the nuts - while the ladies were shopping like hell
Argan oil is the new olive oil, increasingly used in hip restaurants around the world to season salads with its nutty flavour. The wrinkled argan tree is unique to this part of the world along the coast south of Essaouira and have recently been designated by Unesco as a biosphere reserve.
The "Wind City" of Africa - Essaouira is at once familiar and exotic with its fortified walls, fishing harbour and seagulls soaring and screaming over the town.
A typical Riad style hotel welcomes us - the Dar L´Ouissa - what a beautiful location!
Some special deals are going on
a "beautiful" antique chair against a micro wave
Day 5 - Essaouira - Marrakech
hardcore lunch - Moroccan barbecue - but we survived...
Group picture in front of the Ouzoud waterfalls with a "Berber Whiskey" and some Lady pictures
Time was flying!
Shoukran, shoukran to all of you for a beautiful week, good company and a lot of fun.
Hope we will see you again!
