DAY 7: Warth - Erding
After a good night in the Alps, we were ready for the last riding day... unfortunately in Erding we had to say goodbye to our bikes! But also today there were a lot of things to see and we enjoyed a lot of curves! After a first stop at the lake Plansee, some of us chose to see Neuschwanstein Castle and some to go straight to Linderhof. These castles are both in southern Bavaria, and both were built by the king Ludwig II in the 19th century.

Level Crossing in Bavaria... don't worry, the guide will wait for you! :)
DAY 6: Schaffhausen - Warth
Today we left Schaffhausen and passed close to the lake Constance, a big lake where 3 countries meet! Its shorelines lie in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. After a coffee break by the lake we headed into the alps and reached the Säntis, the highest mountain in this region of switzerland and then we finaly reached Austria, where we reached our destination after two narrow pass roads, the Furkajoch and the Hochtannbergpass.

DAY 4: Ribeauville, rest day
Everybody could wake up a bit later today and, since it was rest day, only a few brave riders chose to go for a ride. Some choose a long ride on the mountains and some a shorter one to go visit the Koenigsburg castle, a very nice castle overlooking the Rhine valley. During the morning, Gottfried had time to prepare a very tasty picnic with a lot of local food... and the party started when the bikes returned to the hotel!
Christian was the first to be ready!

DAY 3: Heidelberg - Ribeauville
One of the most famous rides of Germany, the "Schwarzwaldhochstrasse" (high road of the Black Forest) is waiting for us, before we cross the Rhine valley and we head to the beautiful reagion of Alsace in France, where we will stay for 2 nights in Ribeauville. After breakfast a rain shower suggests us to wear the rain gear and we start worrying a bit, but after a few minutes the rain stops and does not come back again!!!

DAY 2: Rothenburg ob der Tauber - Heidelberg
Today after a quick look at the weather forecast we already realized that it would have been another great riding day and so it was! We visited the beautiful monastery of Schoental and we also enjoyed a picnic on the way with some russian "neighbours" that came to grill right next to our tables and also offered us some of their specialties!

DAY 1: Erding - Rothenburg ob der Tauber
The Best of Europe tour was welcomed very warmly in Erding! The temperature yesterday was up to around 35 degrees celsius (almost 100F)! But today fortunately, after a "providential" thunderstorm in the night, the temperature and the weather were ideal to start riding! Bavaria is very nice in this season, and our guests from USA, Canada and Australia seemed to be really impatient to ride this morning! They were not disappointed and they all came to Rothenburg with a big smile on their faces!
Briefing!
