Pyrenees The Classic & Only One ( PYT 1901)
Before the tour starts some services on the bikes needed to be done such as tire changes and washing the bikes... This is Fun :-) In the meantime everybody arrived safely in the Hotel and in the Welcomebriefing will be all explained about the upcoming tour the Highlights, landscape and the different cultures. en Bikehandover, first dinner together and then getting a bit sleep before we start the tour next morning.
What a great ride today.... With sunshine and blue sky and abut 30º C we went from Barcelona to the Montserrat Monastry and then further to a super nice Riders Meeting point where we had our coffee stop. Afterwards we went on to the Castle of Cardona before we stppoed at the lunch place in the St LLorenc de Morunys.... suer Lunch with loal food and ambience... Thousands of curves later we arrived all safely our Hotel close to Tremp.
Restday Ride: That means we do stay in the same Hotel for 2 nights and we will have nice excursion in the area catalonia Pyrenees region around Tremp, Sort, Seu d Urgell.... with all its beauty .
Today we are going through 3 countries in 1 day. We start in Spain, go via Andorra and we will sleep in France in the nice fortress of Carcassonne. Perfect weather conditions will lead us up to Andorra where we will cross some passes with open caddle ranges and the famous wild Pyrenees horses..... Later we will enjoy the "French" cuisine which then eneded up in our first Pizza :-) in Aix les Thermes .... So french cusine can wait for DInner :-) ... and you can imagine it as delicious.
Today we have a nice restday ride through the land of the Cathars. Through nice forest and vineyards across the "canal du Modo" is providing a nice scenery . The afternoon is reserved to stroll a bit around the fortress "La Cite"
Today unfortunatly is already the last riding day. We will enjoy a bit of the Costa Brava and the famous road between St Feliu and Tossa, before we will ride back to Barcelona
