Scotland was fantastic...

... but the tour is over now. The Tigers will make their way back to Munich tomorrow. In a trailer....

Viewfield House Hotel in Portree, Isle of Skye. Our home is our castle... Eilean Donan Castle, home of the Highlander Cawdor Castle, home of Shakespeare's Macbeth Inverness Castle, home of Nessie, the Monster. Or did we get something wrong here? Having tea and bisquits in Langley Castle. Very British! And for all of you out there who are not British: THIS is how you drink your tea! The famous Forth Rail Bridge is one of Edinburgh's landmarks. Shortly after this picture was taken we left Scotland. What a pity! The Triumph-Tiger-Highlander-Tour came to an end today. The Tiger says goodbye...

Day No. 4 was the best day of this tour so far. Stunning scenery, interesting single track roads, and Scottish weather: sunshine, rain and wind all at the same time, fast moving clouds, rainbows, everything you can think of, in rapid succession.

Today the riders are on their way to Inverness, the largest city in the Highlands.

Fantastic viewpoint high above a Scottish loch

The Tigers are made for the roads around here The west coast of the Isle of Skye is rugged and wild. Don't get too close!

The very very very first Edelweiss-Triumph-Tour is under way! Starting in Hinckley, the home of Britain's oldest, best, most successful motorcycle company 7 riders from the US, England, Germany and France will make their way up to the Highlands of Scotland. After a guided tour through the Triumph factory this morning we made our way up to the North York Moors National Park, a beautiful region of rolling hills and tiny single track roads.

Tomorrow we are going to cross the border into Scotland. Watch this space, we'll keep you posted!

THE GUIDE! THE BIKES! THE BIKES and THE VAN! THE BEER!

Dear Thomas and Michael
Great to see you enjoyed your trip to Inverness it is a lovely city. Bruce and I drove to Scotland every August holiday when we lived in the UK. Fowles Castle just north of Inverness is where the Monro clan still live and they have been there for over 750 years.
Looking forward to seeing back at Bush Walk Bed & Breakfast in New Zealand this coming November. Keep up the good work.
Kind regards
Sandra and Bruce
