Tourguide Training 2017 in Mieming

It's that time of the year again: all Edelweiss Tourguides come back to Mieming for the yearly gathering. We're all informed about the latest and greatest so everybody is well prepared for the next season!

The garage starts to bustle with activity again: practising fixing tires, watching training videos and so forth.

Pierre and Uwe are pracitsing their welcome briefing for Adventure North Cape under the watchful eye of Tobias and Marcus.

We also have four new recruits! Matthes, Malcolm, James and Andreas. Welcome guys!

Tomorrow all of our old veterans should have arrived too and we continue with picknicks, practice and other activities!

That night we went for our yearly social event, go-karting in Imst !

On Saturday it was time again for the yearly picknick competition. Even great skies and rain can't keep our guides from doing a picknick!
Team 1 with theme "eastern Europe" consists of James, Lukas, Thomas and Malcolm.
Team 2 is Laurens, Andreas, Matthes and Jonas.
Both picknicks were a big success and looked very appetising!
The whole EBT team was present to enjoy the food, even our founder Werner Wachter.
All EBT ladies received a flower and a kiss from CEO Rainer as thanks.
The champions from the previous day's karting session are awarded the Edelweiss Cup.
Awards are handed out for "tourguide of the year" and blogger of the year. Here's our champion blogger Domenico!
All tourguides who have done more than 356 days were presented with an award as well. Tourguide legend Christian Preining even had more than 2500 days on tour, seven years!
Herr Wachter has a few closing words for the night.
Relaxing tourguides on our last workshop day.
And that's that! It was great to see old friends, make new ones and ensure we are all prepared for the 2017 season!
Until we see each other again on tour!

Ich kann mich für das tolle Training nur bedanken, ist wahrscheinlich die beste Tour Guide Ausbildung die es gibt. Alles liebe nach Mieming

Hallo zusammen,
ganz herzlichen Dank für das tolle Training dieses Jahr. Wie immer war alles super organisiert. Das Teamevent am Freitagabend hat richtig Spaß gemacht und die Themen vom gestrigen Sonntag waren wirklich interessant. Wünsche Euch allen eine gute und unfallfreie Saison mit netten Kunden und tollem Wetter.
Bis bald mal irgendwo ...

Thank you Laurens and Danilo for the great blog!
It is true, we kept them busy every day from morning to evening, one day even into the night. But the was also time for fun and laughter - we have a real great Edelweiss Tourguide team. Proud of you guys!
