Day 1 - Erding to Rothenburg
Take off in Erding
Axel makes the daily tour briefing
Lunch stop at Willibaldsburg
A wonderful end to the day in beautiful Rothenburg.........
....... finished off with a very entertaining tour from the Night Watchman!

Day 2 - Rothenburg to Heidelberg
Today's briefing is action packed!
Rosie trying to decide if she needs rain gear or not!
Picnic at Möckmühl

Melody is feeling much better after a good night's sleep
Marcela is happy despite the inclement weather.....

Day 3 - Heidelberg to Ribeauville
Today Johanna makes the briefing
The departure from the hotel is a bit tricky.....
Watching boats going up and down and up and down...
...until Melody becomes a turte under the hot german-french sun
Ribeauville: our hotel in the very center
BY SPECIAL GROUP REQUEST:
Today we have 100% attendance for dessert. Everyone is super happy

Day 4 - Ribeauville rest day
Rest day! No rest day for our intrepid group. After a short lie in and croissants for breakfast we head out. Its another beautiful day and we make our first stop at the Chateau de Haut-Koenigsbourg
Mary Poppins was there too but lost her umbrella!
Next stop Col de Bagnelles
Bikes parked at the top of Col de la Schlucht. This was after a "free riding" stretch from the bottom. There were some big grins at the top!
Eric likes free riding!
Anderson and Marcela like it too.....
Rosie didn't give Bill too much earache for grounding out the hog!

Day 5 - Ribeauville to Schaffhausen

Coffee stop at the Hexenlochmuhle
Let them have cake......
...... and they will eat it. Everyone who had the Schwarzwalderkirschtorte said it was delicious!
First time of having a blackforest cake even for our british-bavarian tourguide William
The cake was too much sugar overload for Felicia!
Axel provided a delicious picnic for lunch
Boys will be boys......
And girls well......

Day 6 - Schaffhausen to Warth
Daily briefing

Day 7 - Warth to Erding

Edelweiss=Excellence in Guided Tours. We had such a great group to ride with and our guides were professionals who helped us all get the most out of the trip. The challenges of the roads and cultures will stay with us. There is no way we could duplicate what we accomplished on our own in 7 days.Thanks.

The Best of Europe tour was incredible. What a great way to see the countryside. Every day the ride builds and builds in scenery till you get to the second last day in The Alps. So beautiful. Axel, Johanna and William were super tour guides.

I rode this tour with Axel leading two years ago. You folks are in for a treat as Axel is a great tour guide! Make sure to sample the beer at every stop.
