Arrival day: Welcome to Hrvatska

It’s time for the welcome briefing!
The scooters are ready.

Day1: Opatija - Rovinj - Pula - Opatija

Today's route takes us to the most southern part of the Istrian Peninsula, to Pula. A town full of history, dating back as far as the year 6000 BC! It possesses a huge amount of Roman ruins, between them, the best preserved Roman arena, the Pula Arena. But before he head to Pula we will first visit Rovinj.

This town is a popular tourist resort and an active fishing port. It was founded by the Romans in the 2nd century on a little island that is now connected to the mainland and it is dominated by the baroque St. Euphemia’s Church.

Since we are taking the coastal road we will stop every now and then to enjoy many of the beautiful viewpoints. One of them will also serve us as an afternoon coffee stop and reward us with a superb panoramic view in the direction of Cres Island.

Happy Kim, ready to go and discover croatia by scooter.

Jean-Pierre is happy about his dinner choice. Looks amazing.
A nice place to have dinner and good food, what more could you want? Did you say wine? Of course we had the right wine with our meal. It's not only a sightseeing tour, but also a culinary experience.

Day 2: Opatija - Porec - Limski channel - Opatija

Today we ride west again, across the Istrian peninsula. The ride combines beautiful, twisty roads and breathtaking views along the coastline. Crossing the peninsula in the morning to Poreč will give you firsthand insights into Croatian culture.
Our destination will be the Limski Ria, or Limski Canal in English. It is 11 km long and winds its way from the coast to the Croatian hinterland. The nature reserve offers numerous beautiful viewpoints. A visit to the picturesque old town of Porec should not be missed during a holiday or visit to Istria.
In the old town, the Roman town planning has been preserved to this day.

First unplanned stop of the day, a lose battery cable has to get fixed.
On the road with the gang…
Beautiful viewpoint of the town of Pazin and its castle.

Nice ride on way back home, lonely forests and nice curvey roads

Day 3: Opatija

Unfortunately, a weather front with strong winds kept us from cruising over the the islands Cres and Krk, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We will just postpone it.

This gives us time to explore Opatija or Rijeka more closely and, if necessary, to relax in the hotel's spa and wellness area.

We are already looking forward to dinner, because today we will be spoiled in the best restaurant in town. Where we will go, however, is not yet revealed.

Day 4: Opatija - Postojna -Opatija

Ready to enter deep into the cave…
