Perfect conditions in the morning Scott, Kalanda, Gerry and Chris on Silvretta high alpine road Silvretta high alpine street is ours Robert is always happy, no matter what the weather is. all's well that ends well
Today the rest day was on the agenda. Normally we still offer a bike excursion in the vicinity of the hotel, but today there was really nothing to do. It rained like cats and dogs. Some visited the military museum at the Gotthard Pass while the rest of the group explored Andermatt. Then to end the day we all enjoyed a typical Swiss cheese fondue together. Very tasty...
After rain comes sunshine, so it was today. After the group had to ride all day yesterday in pouring rain, today it got better and better as the day went on. sunshine in the atrenoon and everybody is happy again :-)
Today was actually planned as a day of rest. But as always, the group wanted to drive of course. And so it should be. We explored the area around Briancon and the Col d'Izoard. As a small surprise Arno has prepared us even an excellent picnic. A great day.
Today our original plan was to approach the famous Stelvio pass form north to south. Unfortunately, we had to change that plan.. First, a flat tire on the Tour Guide motorcycle had to be repaired and then there were also road closures. The approach to the famous south ramp with its 48 hairpin bends would have cost too much time due to some closures on the way there. So we drove only one side, but up and down :-). Gavia Pass, Passo del Tonale, Mendel Pass and last but not least the ascent to the beautifully located Klobenstein, were the other highlights of today's tour. Below are a few impressions from today:
Like every tour, this one had to come to an end at some point. After enjoying the panorama of the Zillertal from the high road of the same name yesterday today we say goodbye to the Alps and Europe. We, your tour guides, would like to thank you once again for your participation in this magnificent alpine tour and wish you a safe and pleasant journey home. Thank you for placing your trust in us and Edelweiss. We hope to see you again soon on one of our tours. Until then, take care, Arno and Tom
