BOE 230D-Best of Europe
At the first riding day we drove from Erding to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. While we ride trough mediveal towns,the of the middle of bavaria and hop growing areas we get a first impression of the beautiful roads of Germany. After a lunch stop in Eichstätt we rode to our Hotel in Rothenburg and enjoyed later in the evening the famous nightwatcher.
The second day brings us to the Tauber valley after a visit in the car museum Langenburg the hot weather was perfect for our traditional Edelweiss Picnic! Until we reached our final destination for the day- Heidelberg, we make a short stop at the castle hirschhorn!
Today our track leads us to the beautiful black forest, where we saw a blacksmith produces orginal handmade tools for us . After a good meal at the Renchtalhütte we go on to the southern black forest and reach at the end of the day our destination in the Elass.
Today was a rest day, but not for everyone, because the group wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather and the winding roads in Alsace. After lunch in Munster it went up over 1000 meters to Col du Gorge and Col du Bornhomme which border the Vosges. Afterwards, the evening ended comfortably in the restaurant with a nice dinner.
Today we leave France and ride back to Germany, where we have a first coffee stop at the 200 year old Hexenlochmühle with a delicious Black Forest cake. At our lunch we had another delicious picnic. After that, the last leg took us to the Rhine Falls in Switzerland- one of the largest waterfalls in Europe.
Today we went through 3 countries - Switzerland, Liechtenstein & Austria. At a coffee stop in an American bike store, the cappuccino tasted twice as good. At noon we went to the mountain Säntis in Switzerland, where there was also lunch. On the way to our hotel we crossed 2 passes, the Furkajoch and the Hochtannbergpass - a treat for motorcyclists.
Our last day took us through the beautiful Lech valley, as well as to the Planlake where we had our first coffee stop. The weather changed rather suddenly, so the rain jackets were quickly removed. At Linderhof we found a great castle. With great curves through the Bavarian countryside our tour was then finally rounded off .
