Mediterranean Alps Extreme - 4SA240A

All Tourmembers landed well in our lovely Tourstart-Hotel Les Messegues in St. Paul de Vence and in the later afternoon we enjoyed an appetizer of the outstanding 1.800 km Tour with over 30.000 curves through southern France and northern Italy. Our Welcome Briefing showed of a scetch of the route via Gorge du Verdons to Valberg, from there to Roquebillere, Vicoforte, Rapallo, Cinque Terre on the Ligurian Coast, Finale Ligure and back to Vence via famous Monaco. Salud!!
The early bird catches the gorges!!! Off we go and directly into our Adventure and first Highlights! Sweeping, narrow roads through the most wonderful landscapes one can imagine, we reached breathtaking Verdon Gorge. And then up to the mountains via Dalouis Gorge, hundreds of hairpins we reached our destination for this day: Valberg - one of THE winter-/summersportcentres of the French Alps.
What fuel is for Motorbikes is Mate for real Argentinian-Motorbikeriders:-))) Loads of crisp air in the high alpine region of Valberg made us fresh for another amazing day. But only a few Kilometres after starting off Valberg, a heavy tire puncture at Adrians bike stopped us immediatly. But with the help of Victor, we managed to ride the bike to the workshop in Nice, where the tire could be exchanged. The other part of the group crisscrossed the fascinating world of the french mediterranean alps and the day endend reunited at Le Saint Sebastian with a well earned drink and dinner.
Today one of the pass highlights on the program was the Col de Turini, known, among other things, from the Monte Carlo Rally. Tight curves in front of a fantastic natural backdrop. That's exactly how you imagine it. After lunch and more driving challenges, we finally arrived in Vicoforte. The day was rounded off with dinner in the historic surroundings of the Monastery / Basilica with the largest oval dome in the world.
Today we set off from Vicoforte full of enthusiasm to reach Rapallo on the Ligurian coast on winding roads. As beautiful as the route was, it demanded everything from us and at the end we got off our motorbikes in Rapallo with a big smile and had truly earned a rest day in this beautiful village at the Ligurian coast.
After so many days full of curves and mountain passes, we gave ourselves and the bikes a well-deserved break. The breathtaking villages of the “Cinque Terre” were still visited. This quieter day was intended to allow us to rest for the kilometers to come.
Today's morning's agenda included the mountainous surroundings of Genoa, from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of this important port city. After a short rain shower and a refreshing lunch next to the famous Santuario di Nostra Signora della Guardia, we were able to experience one of the driving highlights of this tour in the afternoon. Everyone perceived the journey to the final destination of Finale Ligurie as a special event
Our last riding day: one part of the group decided to take a more direct way back to Vence via the center of worldfamous formula 1 race track in the very heart of the Principaut de Monaco. The other part went the "regular" route through breathtaking landscapes, roads and as lovely as lonely villages with a lunchstop in Andagna and the Route de Peille - well known hardcore-mountain route for bicycleriders. And at last we alle met again at the finishline of our tour in St. Paul de Vence. Happy faces, loads of good stories and even more deep impressions so far more than any picture can show - it was FAMOSISSIMO! Bravi & Thanks To All, Your TGs Christoph & Felix
