Hunting passes in the beautiful scenery of the Austrian, Suisse and Italian Alps. This tour combines all the wishes and dreams a motorcyclists heart can imagine. Starting in Seefeld Tyrol (Austria) we stay for the nights in Pontresina, Brunnen, Zermatt (Switzerland), Lugano, Val di Sole and Klobenstein (Italy). Endless kilometers of curvy, twisty and challenging roads in some of the most beautiful high alpine areas of the Alps. Our experienced riders are coming from Australia, Canada and the US and they are well prepared for this “Ultimate Alps Challenge”.
On a beautiful day in Seefeld we took advantage of the empty parking lot to practise emergency Breaking, riding curves, slalom riding and other exercises to improve our riding skills. Our approach is: a good Rider is always ready to improve.
Our first riding day leeds us to Italy and Switzerland. On the way we collect spectacular mountainviews. Up and down we go with awesome motorcycles and enjoy the Ride.
Our second riding day starts with a sunshine over Pontresina and after our Daily briefing our Ride starts. Up and down we go to Malojapass, Splügenpass, Passo di San Bernadino, Lukmanierpass and Oberalppass. Especially lucky we were on the Passo di San Bernadino. No Cars, no Campers just us! What a Great riding experience. At the end of a long Travel day we reach lake Lucerne with it´s unique surrounding Mountains.
Off we go from beautiful Lake Lucerne to Zermatt. We had already accepted that some of the Passes are still closed due to massiv Snow so we had no other choice than to take a trainride. Teamwork made this possible and so we all end up on a spectacular train riding through the tunnel from Realp to Oberwald. It felt like in a Movie. :-)
After our exiting trip yesterday with the railway over the Furkapass we arrived in Zermatt, our first restday. All the main passes around are still closed and that’s why we spent our time without riding our motorcycles today. Some of us took the rank railway up to the Gornergrat others stayed in Zermatt for shopping and a walk through the busy streets.
An awesome day starts with a boatrip to the other side of Lake Como. Short after the crossing we start going up and down the passes and it was a hell of a Ride. Especially the narrow Asphalt roads up to passo di Viviano were a great challenge. In the second half of the Day some raindrops started to hit our Face and soon after it was raining. On top of passo di viviano we found an Open Mountain Restaurant wäre we could have a Rest. Nevertheless we arrive to our Hotel in time and Nobody got lost. Thank you for this day.
Early in the Morning we are back on Track to our next destination called Klobenstein close to Bolzano. Luckily there was no rain. Riding to passo di Mendola was a beautiful Formation riding and arriving in Hotel penegal we were rewarded with a tasty Apfelstrudel and a coffee. The second half of the Ride was down the Penegal and up to Klobenstein. Which is always a pleasure to Ride.
Some of us prefered to stay in our awesome Hotel and just relax. Whereas other Tourmembers Tool Theorie chances for a Ride athrough the Dolomites.
