3CT1201: Brecon Beacon National Park and Pembrokeshire Coast

Here are some more impressions of our rest day in Brecon Beacon National Park, the ride along Pembrokeshire Coast and our hotel right outside the town of Cardigan. A curve with a view In a destination like Wales it is important to have a hearty lunch. Pebble Beach, Wales... A real fairy tale coffee castle. Our hotel in Llechryd. This is no typo. The next destination is Betws-y-coed... Sometimes, when it's cold and wet, you need a hot drink. A bigger one than usual. The third riding day brought the group into Wales, but not without visiting one of the greatest monuments of mankind: Stonehenge. Despite the crowds we marvelled at the 4,500 year-old masterpiece and wondered, just like everybody else, how did they do it, and why??? Brecon Beacon National Park offers picture-perfect Welsh scenery and great roads, varying in width from 0.7 to 2 lanes. This is our first rest day, but of course we went for a ride anyway. A thunderstorm is moving into southern Wales Only Mark missed the ride on the restday The single track roads in Wales are only about two sheep wide! Water is all around us! But the sun comes out frequently, even around here. The very first Triumph Celtic Tour stops for the night in Exeter, southern England.
