4CI2503 - Atlantic Mountains Extreme
From Los Cristianos, the ferry takes us to the verdant neighboring island in just under an hour. Winding mountain roads take us through the mystical laurel forest of Garajonay National Park and past deep gorges and picturesque villages. The fresh Atlantic breeze and spectacular views make every turn an experience.
We take another short but worthwhile ride around La Gomera – with fast, sweeping curves that we remember from yesterday and were eager to ride again. Then we take the ferry back to Tenerife. Our route takes us past the majestic Teide, over breathtaking ridges and switchbacks into the rugged Teno Mountains. The mix of volcanic landscape and green valleys captivates us right up to the last bend. Final destination: Puerto de la Cruz
From Puerto de la Cruz, the route travels through the green Orotava Valley to Mount Teide, exploring all the roads surrounding the volcano and through the Cañadas. The impressive lava fields and vast landscapes are always a highlight. The route continues through the dense pine forests of the Corona Forestal to the ferry to Gran Canaria – ready for the next motorcycle adventure.
On Gran Canaria, we start from the center of the island heading south – past barren landscapes and dry plains to Maspalomas. After the short coastal leg, we head back into the mountains to the impressive Caldera de Tejeda. Tight curves, steep slopes, and expansive views are hard to describe. In the evening, we'll enjoy Canarian beer with an incredible view of the mountains from our hotel bar.
On the final day, we take the ferry back to Tenerife. From Santa Cruz, we take the legendary TF-28 – an endless series of curves, past steep slopes and small villages, with constantly changing views of the coast. Every bend is a delight until we finally reach Costa Adeje. A perfect conclusion to an unforgettable motorcycle adventure in the Canary Islands.
