CSS2502 Andalusia the next

Starting with a guided city tour of Malaga on our first Day we dive in in the long and varied history of this city. A city which is approx. 3000 years old and shows a lot of moorish influence which is best seen in the architecture. More than 700 years Malaga was under Muslim influence. The moorish influence we can see all over Andalusia. Malaga the second largest city of Andalusia is the starting point of our Tour. Besides the extremely beautiful city center there are more highlights to see such as the Mercado central, the huge Harbour, a bullfight arena, a Fortress and romain theater. Thank you Malaga for such a beautiful welcome. Subsequently to this we meet our fellow riders for the Welcome Briefing.
The wait is over. It starts today. Prepared for what will come, we first strengthen ourselves with a sensational breakfast. We are starting our motorcycles. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for our first day is not so great. But there is no bad weather just the wrong clothes. Our first photo stop is stuck in the fog. We remain brave. And wind ourselves through the fog and then dance with the rain clouds. We arrive dry, after several curves, at the Costa del Sol for lunch. What a wonderful place by the sea. And such delicious food, freshly prepared. Once again back to the mountains, 1300 m high, all alone and even more curves. Granada is today's declared destination. The first beer, deserved. For dinner we take a little walk in the city. Tomorrow we think we have a lot to tell because we have three teams Team Alhambra, Team Sierra Nevada, Team City and Alhambra So stop by Ralph and Michaela
In the morning of our 2nd riding day we split into two groups, one visiting the worldfamous Alhambra and the other group riding up to the Sierra Nevada on demanding and spectacular roads. After meeting again in our Hotel we drive off for Jaen, the capital of Oliveoil. Riding without traffic on hilly Roads with lots of long curves is pure enjoyment.
Our day starts with the question: do we see olive trees today? ;-) Well, that could happen if you are in the area where a third of the European olive oil has existed. We quickly leave the city to get in. White villages pass us by, we are relaxed on the road. In Alcaá la Real we find in the middle of the village a nice place for our first coffee, hot chocolate (which was more of a pudding) and churros, a typical Spanish pastry. Strengthened it goes up to the Fortaleza de la Mota. A castle that hides 2000 years of history behind its wall After our exploration tour we make our motorcycles again in the direction of Iznájar. One of the Embalse of the same name (lake, dam) we have our lunch. Hop on the bikes and last stage to Antequera our today's destination. Another successful day with lots of fun See you tomorrow Ralph and Michaela
A perfect day - these will be the words at the end of this day. But let's start in the morning. Well, we have a slightly longer driving day, but with the prospect of winding routes, our anticipation increases. After a short warmup, we stop at El TORCAL. A rock formation of sandstone 100 million years old. Staggered and horizontal layers make us marvel at what nature can conjure up. We drive through the Sierra de Chimena and reach the fertile Guadalhorce Valley, rich green wherever you look. But we are offered even more, a geographical wonder of Andalusia. The Garganta del Chorro. A partly 10 m wide gorge, which the river has dug 180 m deep into the limestone. We drive along the reservoirs of Spain. Of which there are 356 between Andalusia and Galicia. And the 28 dams are needed for the fruit and vegetable plantations between Murcia and Almeriá. We are getting closer and closer to Seville. The seer becomes denser. With 700,000 inhabitants, it is the largest city in Andalusia. We will explore these tomorrow. But now we have a highlight today. Our dear Axel can be celebrated today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY It we of course a constantly sung and there are also gifts. His conclusion from this day - PERFECT birthday. So now we can get some rest, tomorrow is rest day. But we will also have something to tell. Ralph and Michaela
Starting from the city Centre of Sevilla we ride for a clockwise ride into the Sierra Morena. Up and down we go and we enjoy swinging our motorcycles through the long curves. After a sunny day on our Motorcycles we go for a typical Flamenco dance show in the evening. The Ladies were dancing like a hurricane.
Well? Are you ready for another day in motorcycle paradise? Then let's leave Seville quickly. On extensive roads we drive to Arcos de la Frontera, one of the main towns of the "White Villages" ( Pueblos Blancos") in the province of Cádiz. We let the soul dangle on the terrace of the Pandora at the top. A delicious lunch and we can plunge into the next one. The street "Ruta de Toros" has it all. We have to pay attention to a lot of curves but also to the surface. But it's a lot of fun. The road from Jimena de la Frontera to Ronda we have countless long curves but also a breathtaking landscape. Arrived in Ronda. The city in which the bullfight was "born". The oldest bullring from 1756 is worth a visit. Did you know that a 4 year old adult bull has 400-600 kg? Tomorrow we have rest day, but no rest ;-) Stay tuned Michaela
Another beautiful riding day in awesome Andalusia. Starting in Ronda we are heading for some more of the famous white towns. We are riding through Grazalema and on the way to Zahara de la Sierra we are going up the Puerto de las Palomas and we enjoy a great view. Riding on empty streets is once again a pure enjoyment. Only once in a while we meet a car or a cyclist. Arriving back in Ronda we are welcomed with a picnic. All the food is bought at the grocery and prepared by the Michaela Thank you for this beautiful day
Final - a last day of driving But it should be fun for us. The first highlight today: Happy Birthday-John This is how a day can start We start again in the curve paradise around Ronda. Puerto means Pass. And passes are on mountains, which means that curves are waiting for us there. So left right up down, is a lot of fun. Don't want to leave here, make another café stop in the mountains. Before it goes to the coast of Marbella. Quickly pass it, because we don't like the traffic. In fact, the sun is still coming. Thus, our second picnic does not fall into the water. Ralph has prepared a delicious lunch for us at a beautiful Mirador. Now the last kilometers are getting closer. But for a café in Mijas, a picture book place built in the mountains, we still have time. To then return to our starting point in Málaga. After countless curves and a lot of good food we are back. Thank you very much It was a pleasure to show you Andalusia Ralph and Michaela
