Modultour 2025 (6TG2501)

Task of the day: Put one motorcycle in the van and 4 motorcycles on the trailer, lash them down securely and then take them for a spin around Mieming before unloading them again at the “Neuwirt”, our “tour start hotel”. Bring the now empty trailer back to the parking lot at the Edelweiss headquarters. All in all, everything went really well. We formed 3 teams, each with their own van and trailer. Our instructors gave valuable tips so that everything went pretty smoothly. The 10 prospective tour guides are a great bunch- and the fun is not neglected either.
The best way to get to know a tour is to ride it beforehand. Two tour guides and one instructor each went on different sections of the tour. One team had a very special key experience - the key was given to the Harley Motorcycle God :-)
By looking at smiles and smirks of the “TGs to be”, you may conclude that the folks who spent the day with Christoph and his awesome garage team had “more fun” than the TGs who spent the day in the classroom. However, that is just an assumption. Photos may tell the story. Happy Riding and learning!
Again: Garage and Admin session, just the other way round ☺️
An eventful day under beautiful conditions. We left Mieming at 9 am and arrived to a nice bootbeer surprise around 5:45 pm at the Cloisterhotel Kronburg in Schönwiess. Lots of fun twisties and alpine passes. The riding was spectacular.
Our tourguide in the morning was Jure to guide us from Kronburg towards the Hahntennjoch and then to Ranggen where our cooks Thomas and Gerald made and delicious picnic. Then in the afternoon Michel took over as a tourguide and led us into the city of Hall in Tirol for a short city tour. Aftwerwards it was time to get to our hotel Jagerwirt in Volders.
Today, our route took us through the picturesque and historically rich Inn Valley – from Volders to Mieming. In beautiful weather, we set off toward the impressive Tratzberg Castle, where we made a brief photo stop. After a well-deserved caffeine break, we crossed the River Inn and continued on to Weerberg to admire the remarkable parish church of Maria Empfängnis. A leisurely picnic surrounded by nature offered a welcome break before we headed to our next destination: the Basilica of St. Michael in Absam – another cultural highlight of our tour. To round off the day, we made a detour to the charming town of Mittenwald, which captivated us with its historic town center and alpine flair. Our return journey to Mieming took us along the idyllic Leutasch Valley – a scenic route that was the perfect ending to a day full of impressions.
Today the tour led from Mieming over the Fernpass to Ladis for a picnic. The route then led to Samnaun, then via Pfunds and Berneck Castle to Feichten in the Kaunertal.
AM: We left a wet and misty Feichten behind us, with the low clouds adding an eerie beauty to the landscape. Just as we drove out, we caught a stunning view of Burg Berneck rising through the fog — a mystical sight that felt straight out of a fairytale. Our next stop was the Kaunergrat Nature Park, where we were treated to a breathtaking panorama at the Gacher Blick viewpoint. The dramatic drop and sweeping alpine views made it a perfect photo stop. From there, we cruised on to St. Anton am Arlberg for a well-deserved coffee break. After warming up, we crossed the Tyrolean border and rode into Vorarlberg via the scenic Arlberg Pass. The winding roads and crisp mountain air called for a bit of freeriding before we started a relaxed picnic. PM: After a delicious Picknick we set off towards the Benni-Raich Bridge in Arzl. Sadly it wasn't possible to go for the bungee jumping, as they are only starting operation one day later. Nevertheless we've enjoyed a nice coffee with a beautiful view. After that we've contiuned on tiny twisty roads towards the little parish church in Haiming, where we've learned a little bit about the Camino de Santiago. As the bad weather was catching up to us, we've decied to press the gas and go straight back to the Neuwirt and were lucky enough to dodge the rain, ending this wonderful Modultour.
Our group was taken through the four training stations (Slalom, Figure 8, that Edelweiss
After another 10 days of training, the first of us are already going on tour today ...
