Alps Extreme 2501

4 boys from the US, Basil, Carl, Gary and Paul, and Guido from Germany make up this group. After the welcome briefing everybody is excited and ready to go.
The first riding day turned out to be really nice. Clouds and a little bit of rain in the morning, but the rest of the day was sunny. Going up to the Kaunertaler Glacier was great with fantastic views and countles curves. We even did an extra loop in the afternoon because we could not get enough....
We started in the morning in sunny conditions and did a little loop into Switzerland on a great road with dark tunnels. After a nice coffee stop in Glurns, a tiny little medieval town, we headed for the Passo di Stelvio, a breathtaking pass with 48 tight switchbacks on one side and 47 on the other side. It was quite challenging, but the group did well. The next pass, Passo di Gavia was pure riding fun. We ended up at a very special hotel called Penegal with a spectacular view. What a wonderful day!
One more great riding day in motorcycle paradise. Several passes and beautiful scenery. The highlight was the Monte Bondone, an uphill racetrac, with 50 switchbacks on one side .
Restday? Not for this group! We had the most challenging roads of the tour today and countless curves. We did 8 passes and visited 6 lakes! Lago di Garda is the most famous one, but very bussy. The riding fun was in the mountains on single lane roads and great scenery.
We thought it could not get any better, but it did. The day in the Dolomites with 10 passes was mindblowing. The views really breathtaking and the riding excellent, a day to remember... And at the end the hotel Ratsberg at the top of the mountain made us speechless.
All good things come to an end. The last riding day of the tour offered again all you can ask for as a motorcycle rider, twisty mountain roads in great scenery. The highlight of today was the Timmelsjoch with a fantastic ride on the Italian side. Everybody made it safe to the hotel. Thanks to a great group and hope to see you again.
