SPTSM25039 Pyrenees Special
Leaving Barcelona on the way to one f the moste fascinating mountain region of Europe- The Pyrenees. Visiting the sanctuary of Montserrat was certainly a highlight before hitting the curvy roads. And this was just the beginning of a trip that we will never forget.
Just like the day before the weather ist beautiful and the view from the hotel in La Seu d'Urgelll even more. Today we spent the entire day enjoying the curves and the espectacular nature of the region before we return to our hotel to have dinner in the impressive panoramic restaurant.
Once again the sun was waking us up to stay with us throughout the entire day riding in 3 countries. We left La Sou d' Urgell toward France. One highlight of the tour was for sur the Col de Paliheres with 2001m and a road full of switchbacks which leads you to the top. After having lunch we went straight to the Principate Androrra where we enjoyed landscape as well as the tax-free shopping opportunities before we returned to our hotel in La Seu'Urgell.
Today we are leaving La Seu d'Urgell towards Mollo on beautiful windy roads. Even the coffeebreaks in one of the picturesque Catalonian towns is a highlight itself. Several Mountain-Passes with even more horsepower lead us our way to Mollo which is located on the Spanish-French borderline.
This day was sure one of the highlights of this tour but also the moste challenging. Again we crossed the border towards France to took the winding roads up to the impressive canyon of Galamus. We came back to the hotel very late but it was definitely worth the effort.
After a very intense riding- day the day before we were willing to take it easy. Leaving Mollo with a smile on our faces we were taking again some smaller backroads in the morning until we reached Girona where we entered the highway towards Barcelona. When we reached the hotel we realized what a fantastic trip this had been.
