CFMOTO Alpine Ride (SPTCN25115)

We start this morning in beautiful Erding near Munich and our destination for today is Lienz in East Tyrol. For us, this means heading directly south from Bavaria towards the Austrian Alps. While the landscape is still mainly flat at the start of this morning, we can already see the first mountains on the horizon after just two hours of driving, and that is of course exactly where we want to go. Today's highlight is the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in Austria, which leads us to our destination for the day.
A beautiful morning in Lienz as we started our engines and we started climbing the beautiful Pustertaler Hohenstrasse before heading to Italy. Our first stop was at the stunning Lake Misurina. We parked our bikes and enjoied a hot espresso or a tasty cappuccino while taking pictures, videos and flying drones all around! Back on the road, the ride became more intense and scenic as we climbed higher into the Dolomites. Hairpin turns and sweeping views made every kilometer thrilling. Around midday, we reached the Falzarego Pass and took the cablecar to reach Rifugio Lagazuoi, perched at over 2,700 meters. The view from the top is simply unforgettable. We stopped there for lunch with a view! In the afternoon, we rode on toward the postcard-worthy Gardena Pass. The road there was pure joy! After another break at the top of the pass, we finally started descending into South Tyrol and arrived in Collalbo (Klobenstein in german), a charming village nestled on the Renon plateau. It’s the perfect end to a nearly 200 km ride through some of the most awe-inspiring roads in Europe.
A Breathtaking Ride through Mountain Paradise! Our first scenic stop was the Lago di Carezza (Karersee) – a small alpine lake famous for its crystal-clear waters and the vibrant colors that reflect the surrounding peaks. From there, the ride continues to the Passo San Pellegrino and then to the majestic Passo Fedaia, right at the foot of the Marmolada, the highest mountain in the Dolomites. There, we enjoyed a well-deserved lunch with a view, surrounded by dramatic alpine scenery. But the highlight of the day was still to come: the Passo Sella, one of the most legendary mountain passes in the Alps. With its sweeping curves and jaw-dropping views of the Sella Group, this section was pure riding bliss! Finally, we returned to Collalbo just in time for dinner, what a great ride!!!
After two wonderful days in the Dolomites, it's time for us to leave them today and head west to Livigno. And today we have some great routes on the plan again. First we briefly pass through Bolzano before taking the Mendola Pass under our wheels. From there, we make a short detour to Monte Penegal and enjoy our coffee break there with a great view of the valley below us. We then continue on to the Passo del Tonale, where we fortify ourselves with delicious pizza for today's highlight. With a full stomach and full of anticipation, we take the tiny road to the Passo di Gavia, a real highlight that you have to ride at least once.
On a beautiful sunny morning we started riding through breathtaking mountain scenery and headed towards the legendary Stelvio Pass, one of the most iconic roads in the world with its countless hairpin turns and stunning views. After conquering the Stelvio and giving enough time for pictures and videos, we descended into the charming village of Glorenza, a perfectly preserved medieval town in South Tyrol where we had lunch. On the way to Austria, we stopped for a picture at the Reschen Lake, famous for the belltower of an old church rising from the lake. We continued our journey through winding roads and lush valleys until we reached (the last kilometres on a beautiful gravel road) Gogle Alm, a peaceful alpine hut in Tyrol, ideal for an afternoon break with panoramic views... and finally arrived in Seefeld, a little bit late but in time for dinner!
On our last day of riding on this tour, we leave the Alps for good and return to Erding in Germany. But not before we have taken on some of the most beautiful roads that the border region between Austria and Germany has to offer. We start the day well fortified by a hearty breakfast and make our way to the German border. From there, we make a short detour to the famous Ahornboden, a beautiful mountain valley full of maple trees that belongs to Austria but is only accessible from Germany. We couldn't wish for a better background for our photos. After a short coffee break, we head back across the border and make a photo stop at the Sylvenstein reservoir before heading into Austria for lunch for the last time. After a short break with coffee and cake at Lake Tegernsee, we finally set off for Erding, where we started our tour just under a week ago. We had a great time, laughed a lot and of course rode a lot of fantastic roads. Hopefully we'll see you again soon on another tour. See you soon Domenico and Daniel
