High Alps with Fussen BMW Motorrad Mexico

Welcome to Erding! The sun is shining and the weather is warm (well... very warm!). Our Mexican friends have arrived, and today we had the welcome briefing, the motorcycle handover, and even a chance to celebrate Manuel’s birthday! Now we’re ready to hit the road — stay tuned!
A fantastic day blending history, nature, and the joy of motorcycling in Bavaria! We cruised through the charming town of Wasserburg am Inn and then then made our way to the beautiful Chiemsee, where we took a boat to see the famous Herreninsel and its royal palace. After a tasty lunch on the island, we got back on the bikes and rode the final stretch along the stunning Deutsche Alpenstraße, with its sweeping curves and mountain views!
What a day on two wheels! We made our first scenic stop at the beautiful Pillersee to take some photos of the crystal-clear lake surrounded by mountains. From there, we continued towards Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße, where we enjoyed a coffee break before tackling the legendary Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The ride up was full of twists, stunning views, and pure joy — and lunch at the Edelweissspitze with its breathtaking panorama was the highlight of the day. We wrapped up this unforgettable journey in the picturesque town of Lienz, at the feet of the Dolomites, where we're heading tomorrow!
Today we go to Italy and the beautiful Dolomites! Starting in Lienz, and before border we had to try one of best Austrians sweets at Loacker. then we headed towards Italy. A stop followed at beautiful Lago di Misurina for breathtaking photos and panoramas. We climbed higher and higher over Passo Tre Croci, passing Cortina and climbing over another amazing Passo Falzarego over 2000m. On another pass, Passo Valparola we enjoyed a tasty lunch with amazing view. We were not finished, the highest pass and higlight of the day was before us. Passo Gardena with 2121m was our highest point. We reached our hotel in Bolzano and can't wait to have a true Italian Espresso.
We left Bolzano in the morning and rode through the beautiful Sarentino Valley up to Passo Pennes, enjoying its sweeping curves and alpine views. From there, we tackled the Passo Giovo, another stunning mountain road full of tight bends. Our highlight was the ride over the Passo Rombo, one of the highest alpine roads, where we also stopped to visit the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum — a must-see for any motorcycle enthusiast. After crossing into Austria, we ended our day in Seefeld, tired but thrilled after an incredible day on some of the Alps’ most iconic passes.
We spent an exciting day in Garmisch-Partenkirchen at the legendary BMW Motorrad Days, surrounded by motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world. The event was packed with action — from stunt shows and test rides to custom bikes and the latest BMW models on display. The atmosphere was electric, with music, laughter, and a shared passion for two wheels everywhere you looked. In the evening, we joined the celebration in the party tent, enjoying traditional Bavarian food, live music, and a great vibe — the perfect way to end a day full of motorcycle spirit and fun.
It was a beautiful Sunday, but several local events along the route forced us to take some detours, which caused a few delays. Our journey took us through the scenic Kühtai, where we stopped for our first break, and the panoramic Gacher Blick. Then we reached the Reschen Pass, where we stopped to admire the iconic bell tower rising from the waters of Lake Resia—a haunting and fascinating sight. From there, we continued over the Ofen Pass and finally reached Livigno. Some of us still had energy left and decided to tackle the legendary Stelvio Pass. Since today the pass was closed until 5 PM (for another event), we had to wait before starting the climb and returned to Livigno quite late and quite wet—but with big smiles and great stories!
We left Livigno in the morning and headed towards the Forcola pass and the Bernina Pass, where we made a scenic stop to admire the Morteratsch Glacier—an impressive sight even from a distance. From there, we continued through the elegant town of St. Moritz before taking on the stunning curves of the Albula Pass, where we stopped for a well deserved coffee break. Back on our motorcycles, we reached the next valley where we tasted the famous swiss pizza (it was tasty!) and then finally crossed the Oberalp Pass before reaching Andermatt, wrapping up an epic day in the heart of the Swiss Alps!
We left Andermatt in the morning under cloudy skies and soon found ourselves riding through light rain as we climbed the stunning Klausen Pass. Despite the wet conditions, the views were still incredible. Around midday, we stopped for lunch by Lake Walensee, where the weather briefly cleared, offering a peaceful break by the water. In the afternoon, the rain returned as we continued towards Lichtenstein and then, after entering Austrian, we hit the Furkajoch, adding a bit of challenge to the final stretch before arriving in Warth. A wet but unforgettable day of riding through the Alps!
We woke up in Warth to a surprise dusting of snow from the night before, and the morning air was crisp and cold as we geared up for the ride. Leaving the snowy peaks behind, we made our way down into the valley and our first scenic stop was the stunning lake Plansee, followed by a visit to the fairytale setting of Linderhof Palace. What a wonderful garden! We then continued to Ettal, just nearby, where we stopped for lunch near the impressive Benedictine Abbey. In the afternoon, we rode the final stretch through rolling Bavarian countryside before arriving in Erding. This was the last day of a wonderful journey, full of great roads, laughs, and amazing scenery. Wishing everyone a safe journey home and hope to see you all again on the next adventure!
