Edelweiss 45 Jahre "Best ride there is"

There are many, many motorcycles rolling towards Seefeld. And they all have one destination. The Inntaler Hof in Mösern near Seefeld in Tyrol. This is our base camp for the 45th anniversary of Edelweissbiketravel. Situated high above the Inn Valley, we have a great view of the mountain landscape of the Alps. It's a big hello, many of us already know each other, many of us have already experienced great adventures together. The atmosphere is great from the very first moment. After everyone has moved into their room, the evening quickly becomes cozy. We relax on the terrace, have a drink together and chat. In the evening, Tobias and Rainer officially open the festivities. The anticipation for the next few days and today's BBQ is great. And rightly so, we think. The start is more than successful. Welcome to Tyrol

Today’s ride was a short but sweet loop – starting from our base in Mösern at the cozy Hotel Inntalerhof. After a relaxed coffee stop somewhere along the way into the Namlostal, the fun really began. Highlight number one: the twisty, traffic-free roads of the Namlostal – pure riding pleasure. Highlight two followed right after: the stunning ascent over the Hahntennjoch, always a favorite. But the true highlight awaited us off the bikes: the grand gala dinner at the brand-new Edelweiss Bike Travel headquarters. Great food, laughter, and the Tour Contest, where riders pitched their dream Edelweiss tours. The winning idea? Walter Frank’s bold vision of a Himalayan adventure through Bhutan! Just before dessert, the room erupted in standing ovations for Melli, who made this event as spectacular as anyone could imagine! And to top it all off – a spectacular fireworks display and a party to remember. What a way to end the tour!

The tour began with an Edelweiss e-bike – quiet, powerful, and perfect for a relaxed ride through the Tyrolean mountains. Starting in Mösern, the route led us along peaceful gravel paths up to Lottensee. Thanks to the electric support, the climb was smooth and enjoyable, surrounded by forest scents and the soft hum of the motor. When we arrived at Lottensee, we found a surprising sight: no lake, just a grassy basin. This is a periodic karst lake, which only appears under certain groundwater conditions – a quiet, almost mystical place, even when dry. The tour continued to the Wildmoosalm, where we stopped for a hearty Tyrolean meal with stunning alpine views. The ride back followed wide forest roads, making for a well-rounded trip filled with nature, movement, and a place that sometimes exists – and sometimes doesn’t.
