SPTSM25088 (04.08.2025 - 08.08.2025 ) - ALPINE ADVENTURE: MOUNTAIN PASSES, CASTLES, AND TYROLEAN CHARM An Alpine adventure at its finest. And with every comfort!
Hello from Tyrol/Seefeld Before we start our journey through Tyrol, we first have a welcome briefing. This covers the most important things first – an introduction to the tour and, of course, the motorcycle keys. After a short round of introductions, we head straight for the route. Over the next three days, we will be traveling between Achensee and Plansee down to Gacher Blick. When we do what, well, we'll decide spontaneously based on the weather. But it looks like we're in luck and the rain has stopped. Which means we have some fantastic motorcycle riding in the Alps ahead of us. All we need now, is a motorcycle and the right key. So, after a quick signature, we headed to the motorcycles. And what else do you need to ride a motorcycle? Right!!! Power, so we went for our first dinner together. And now it's time to sleep one more time and then we'll start our journey through Tyrol and a little bit of Germany. Well, see you tomorrow. Axel
We've had breakfast! The sun is shining! I'd say we're good to go. So, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! Today's first destination is only five minutes away, practically on Seefeld's doorstep. We start our day with a short practice session in a parking lot to get to know the motorcycles better. Starting with slalom, then riding at walking speed, and finally, with me leading the way as tour guide and everyone following behind, we combine all the exercises. That worked out great, and we immediately put our newfound confidence to use as we started the actual day of riding. From Seefeld, we headed toward Scharnitz across the German border to explore the beautiful little valley near Vorderiss. It's a toll road, but that's beside the point, because for me it's like a little bit of Canada here in Europe. Away from the tourist crowds, the small road along the Isar river continues along the Wetterstein mountains. It's fantastically beautiful, especially in this weather. After enjoying the ride and the practice round, it was time for a coffee break, and after a cappuccino, we continued our journey towards Achensee. This lake, which is up to 133 m deep and lies on the edge of the Karwendel Mountains, is impressive not only because of its crystal-clear water!!! It is the whole composition of mountains and water – our first picture-perfect moment on our tour. Well, since it was already noon, we took advantage of the moment and treated ourselves to some delicious food at the Fischerwirt restaurant. Refreshed, we headed back towards “Little Canada” and then drove through the Geisterklamm gorge into the Leutasch Valley. From there, we drove up and down winding roads back towards Seefeld. A wonderfully beautiful start to our tour is coming to an end, so there's only one thing left for us to do – WE'RE GOING TO EAT. See you tomorrow and enjoy the pictures! Axel
After a very rainy night, we started the day with mixed feelings. Would it stay dry and sunny, or would we be unlucky? That was the question of questions!!! The answer: as you can see, we had sunshine. So at 8:30 a.m., we set off toward the Inn Valley and then west towards Landeck. From there, we entered the mountain world of the Alps and at the same time we came closer and closer to the Italian border. Our first stop was at Lake Reschen in Italy, where the well-known church stands in the water. A few pictures and cappuccinos later, we drove through Switzerland back up to the Piller Höhe, where we rewarded ourselves with lunch and a magnificent view. From there, we took small, winding roads into the Ötztal valley, where we stopped at the Stuibenfall/ waterfall for a photo before heading towards Kühtai. The weather was perfect, as were the roads today, and our two rock stars on their 310 BMWs really delivered today. Well done! You did a great job. Once we reached Kühtai, we had another coffee before it was time to hit the road again and truly appreciate the motorcycle ride. Another great day is coming to an end, and after so many kilometers, we have earned a delicious dinner, so we are now heading to the Tiroler Weinstube here in Seefeld. See you tomorrow for our final ride. Axel
Crystal blue skies couldn't have been more beautiful as we started our day. Hungry for more curves and a wonderful day, our journey took us from Seefeld to the Walchensee in Germany. From there, with warm tires, we headed towards Oberammergau, where we enjoyed a coffee before entering the Ammer Mountains. For me personally, driving towards Plansee after Linderhof Palace feels a bit like British Columbia in Canada. Simply a dream!!! And when you cross the border into Austria in the Ammer Forest and you come across the turquoise blue Plansee, a motorcyclist's heart is as fulfilled as it could possibly be. I have to say that we were almost alone on the road, which was an added bonus. A few photos later, we made a quick stop at Neuschwanstein Castle to experience a little Disney moment. But all that riding makes you hungry, so we stopped in the heart of Reutte. With new energy, we set off for the highlight of the day – the Namenlos Valley and the Hahntennjoch. What a spectacle and what a riding pleasure!!! Just look at the pictures/landscape. I can promise you one thing: you won't be able to stop smiling on this route!!! In the middle, we treated ourselves with Kaiserschmarren, because you can't have a day this awesome without it. The rest of our route took us back to the Inn Valley, where we rode up from Telfs to the Seefeld Plateau again. Sadly, our dream trip ended with the most unpleasant part: parking our motorcycles for the last time and returning the keys. But the end of one trip is the beginning of preparations for the next! Our two motorcycle rookies did a great job and their passion for motorcycling has been more than sparked. I'm already looking forward to the next trip, which will probably be with a full driver's license. Until then, I'll just say one thing: Enjoy every moment and always keep your rubber down.
