HighAlpineTour 2506 (HAT2506)

Our official welcome briefing on the arrival day. A warm welcome to our guests. We'll give everybody detailed information about the itinerary, the organization, and more. Everything our Guests need to know for a great start to our tour. And tomorrow it all begins—we can hardly wait. :-)
Today is our first day of riding. Unfortunately, we have to change the route slightly due to snowfall. We can't drive over the Großglockner; instead, we'll take the scenic route through the Felbertauern Tunnel. A wonderful alternative. We leave Erding and initially drive through beautiful landscapes toward Wasserburg am Inn. A wonderful Photoshop with a fantastic view of this town is our first highlight. We continue to Lake Chiemsee and enjoy our first coffee break. The weather improves, and we see the first rays of sunshine and the blue sky smiles down upon us. We make good progress and make a photo stop to photograph the impressive Großglockner. After the Felbertauern Tunnel, we continue toward Lienz and reach our first destination. We're well on time and can still enjoy the town a bit. Other guests enjoy the sauna and swimming pool. A delicious dinner rounds off the day, and we look forward to the next day of riding.
A Dolomite Day to Remember We left Lienz early and cruised along quiet mountain roads into Italy. After a reflective stop at the Nasswand cemetery, we continued through the lively streets of Cortina d’Ampezzo before climbing deeper into the Dolomites. The ride over the stunning Pordoi Pass was the day’s highlight — endless hairpins, dramatic cliffs, and views that make you slow down just to take it all in. By late afternoon we rolled onto the Ritten Plateau and reached Klobenstein, tired but grinning.
At our Restday, there are various ways to spend the day. Some guests chose to take the cable car to Bolzano, simply relax at the hotel, or spend the rest day on their motorcycles. Our motorcycle route led through the southern Dolomites over several passes. We were treated to a magnificent mountain panorama with countless curves. A delicious lunch at the top of Passo Cereda was also a must. Delicious Italian cuisine, wonderful. We returned in the early afternoon and are now looking forward to dinner.
Pass after pass in perfect weather With brilliant sunshine, we left Klobenstein and headed toward Switzerland. The day started spectacularly with the legendary Stelvio Pass: endless hairpins and breathtaking mountain views. Next came the challenging Gavia Pass — narrow, wild, and a real test of riding skill. As a grand finale, we crossed the majestic Bernina Pass, surrounded by almost unreal alpine scenery. Upon arriving in Pontresina, we celebrated a special moment: on behalf of Edelweiss, we presented Roberto with a custom polo shirt featuring the five tours he has completed with us. His fifth journey — a milestone that made this unforgettable day even more special.
The morning began with a last glimpse of the Swiss Alps – the drive over the Albula Pass was a real highlight, with breathtaking curves and magnificent views that never ceased to amaze us. Even the -3°C temperature didn't bother us. We then rolled into the small but fascinating Principality of Liechtenstein. We continued on to Austria, where we had lunch at Schattenburg Castle. In wonderful weather with a fantastic view, the last highlight of the day awaited us. We continued over the impressive Furka Pass to the Hochtannberg Pass before finally reaching our destination for the day, the cozy hotel in Warth. There was a little surprise in the evening. Roberto received an anniversary polo shirt for his fifth tour with Edelweiss.💪🏻. A day full of nature, surprises, and unforgettable impressions.
From Warth to Erding – A Day of Castles and Friendship Our final ride began in Warth and took us along scenic mountain roads into Bavaria. Along the way we stopped at the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle – a place that feels straight out of a fairytale. Later we enjoyed a fantastic picnic by Lake Plansee, surrounded by crystal-clear water and towering mountains. It was the perfect moment to reflect on all the adventures of this journey. The day ended in Erding, where we celebrated with a wonderful group of bikers, toasting to an unforgettable trip full of curves, mountains, and new friendships.
