From winding coastal roads to rugged mountain passes, we’ll chase the open road, the warmth of the sun, and the freedom that only two wheels can bring.
A 10-day motorcycle tour through Andalusia is a journey of discovery full of sun, scents, and colors. Ride along winding mountain roads through the Sierra Nevada, where the air is crisp and the views endless. Descend to white villages like Ronda, where time seems to stand still and locals greet you with a smile.
Andalusian culture is a mosaic of Moorish splendor and Spanish passion. In Cordoba the Mezquita, and in Seville, experience the vibrant energy of flamenco.
Along the way, savor the flavors of the south: tapas with jamón ibérico, fresh fish on the coast, and a glass of rioja or sherry at sunset.
Motorcycling in Andalusia is pure bliss: smooth asphalt roads wind through olive groves, past rugged rock formations, and coastlines where the sea glistens in the light. The climate is ideal—sunny, dry, and inviting to embark on a new adventure every day. In short: Andalusia by motorcycle is freedom, culture and sensory pleasure in one unforgettable journey.
Lets enjoy the good food, interesting cities and stunning nature together !
Today we did a guided city tour in Malaga and explore the city. First we went to the habour and watch sailing ships. Then were at the bull fight hall and enjoy a walk to the Castle of Malaga.
At least after a good lunch the pictures in the Picasso Museum gave us a good Inspiration how the last century of arts worked out. So a good end of the day to ends with a delicious ice cream.
Today took us out of the city and west towards Marbella. After driving south through various national parks, we reached the highlight of our day: the city of Ronda, famous for its unique bridge over the Tayo Gorge. We enjoyed a delicious lunch here and then continued on towards Seville around noon, driving through distant landscapes dotted with olive trees. Our last photo stop of the day was at the famous Zapata Reservoir.
Our first rest day took us to Seville, where we visited the Macarena Cathedral and enjoyed a magnificent view from the Metropol Paradol. It's the largest wooden structure in the world, with 16 million screws! Of course, we also saw the famous Seville Cathedral with Columbus's tomb. It was pleasantly cool at the Palace of Spain, and we arrived back at our hotel along the Guadalquivier. What a magnificent city Seville is!
And off we go again, on to the Algarve and Faro! We stop for coffee at a museum about Spanish explorers, featuring replicas of the Niño, Pinto, and Santa Maria. After crossing the border into Portugal, we arrive in the Algarve: a beautiful region with charming winding roads and stunning views. In the middle of nowhere, we find a lunch spot where everything is fresh: tomatoes, meat, onions, peppers, and homemade ham. A real highlight! We spend the last hour and a half playing around our bikes before taking a dip in the hotel pool.
Today's drive took us along the Algarve, with our first stop in Lagos, known for its beautiful beaches. We then continued on to the southwesternmost point in Europe—Cape St. Vincent with its lighthouse. On the way to today's destination, we headed north along many small coastal roads with wonderful views.
Just after sunrise we're outside, overlooking the Atlantic ocean. the cool breeze brings us inland thrue cork oak forrests and quaint little villages. It's always pleasant to sail for a bit, this one brings us to Setúbal. After looking at the castle of São Filipe, Julian has prepared a profesional surprise picknick. by crossing the majestic Ponte 25 Abril bridge we're entering Lisboa.
One could spend days in the fascinating city if Lisbon, we only have one. Some start the day with a rude out to the coast and visit Faorl de Cavo Raso, the most western point of the mainland of Europe. But...., because of the triathlon all the major roads were closed and due to traffic jam we decided to go to the Harley Davidson dealer instead. In the afternoon it was time for an excellent port wine tasting, followed by tapas and a dinner with Fado music. A great ending of a great day!
The day began with a trip across the famous Vasco da Gama Bridge in lisboa, which is approximately 17 km long. After visiting the Bone House in Evora, which illustrates the transience of life, we enjoyed a delicious lunch. In Elvas, we visited the Amoreira Aqueduct, an imposing structure 7.5 km long, which was used to transport water to the city. Finally, we reached our destination for the day—a Parador in Zafra.
Today is our Riding day from zafra to cordoba. We were traveling above the Sierra Morena and Sierra de Hornachuelos parks, slowly winding down our trip with a beautiful motorcycle ride through Spain's stunning natural landscapes. Today we arrived early in Cordoba, wich was ones the biggest city in the world. Nowadays it's a cultural hot spot whit the Mezquita mosque/cathedral as the definite highlight! The seize of the building and the details in the structure are amazing! We've spent a long time there and had some drinks afterwards.
And all off a sudden there it is, the last riding day. A bit sad, but we kept the best for last. Very nice twisting roads going thrue the mountains and along millions off olive trees. Along the way we pick up some cans of the best olive oil in the world. A stop at the last church of the tour and a nice lunch in the Torcal national park. thanks Julian, Dan, Carol, Norm, Petra, Mike, Lisa, Tim, Mark and Marcel for making it a wonderful and safe tour. untill we meet again!
