Welcome to Reykjavík The time has finally come – our unforgettable journey through the Land of Fire and Ice is about to begin! Our adventure starts with the Welcome Briefing, where our group meets for the very first time. As excited as we all are to get out on the road immediately, the briefing is an important first step. This is where our guests receive the keys to their motorcycles and get a comprehensive introduction to the adventure that lies ahead. We talk about the route, the breathtaking landscapes we will experience, and the unique challenges of riding a motorcycle in Iceland. The weather, road conditions, and nature can change in an instant, so being well prepared is essential. We'll cover everything from safety and riding techniques to what to expect over the coming days, ensuring everyone is ready for the adventure. Afterwards, we enjoy our first dinner together as a group. Conversations start flowing naturally, and before long, stories from previous tours with Jan and me are being shared. Old memories are revisited, new friendships begin to form, and the excitement for the days ahead grows with every moment. Perhaps this first day doesn't seem like the biggest adventure yet—but it is the perfect beginning to an extraordinary journey. Because tomorrow, the waiting is finally over: we climb onto our motorcycles, start our engines, and our Iceland adventure truly begins. Finally the moment is there that we are gonna hop on our machines and start exploring Iceland. A full tank, an empty bladder and off we are. The first stop is at the Viking museum. They have a huge Viking ship, which is still being used, impressive jewelry and funny Viking clothing. And good coffee! Then we travel from North America to Europe 10 times in 5 minutes. This is due to the 2 continental plates who are colliding here. This hot spot is also the reason Iceland exist. At the Gunnuhver geiser we see, and smell, the raw power of nature. This same power, the thermal heat, is being demonstrated in a beautiful way at the Blue Lagon. Here people enjoy the healthy and warm water which should be good for your skin. After a great lunch at Max's it's of to the Kleifarvatn lake. In order to warm up a bit we stop at a cafe where they have the biggest langoustine of Iceland and a great view in the ocean. All in all a relaxed way to do our first riding day. Thank you all for making it a safe one

Iceland is a country with many faces. Grey, wet, windy and cold. Like yesterday. And blue, dry, and warm. Like today. It is truly difficult to keep our eyes on the road because there's being drawn to the beautiful coastline and views on the Atlantic ocean. We probably saw some seals in the distance! At the 66° marker we celebrate crossing the arctic circle. The herring museum is authentic and therefore quite entertaining. Amazing to see the billions of tons of herring that have been processed here. Mainly for the very rich oil. Our lunch in Hauganus is one to remember due to the fermented shark, Hákarl, that we eat. Not as bad as they. In Akureyri we visit the motorcycle museum. The interesting collection houses some bikes that we have owned in the past. It says something about our age... And there you have it, one of the many faces of this impressive island.

Day 5 – Waterfalls, Volcanoes & Whales | Akureyri to Húsavík Today's ride may be one of the shorter ones, but it delivers some of Iceland's biggest highlights. We leave Akureyri behind with a fun gravel section over the mountains, where winding switchbacks reward us with spectacular views across Eyjafjörður before rejoining the main road. Our first stop is the legendary Goðafoss, the "Waterfall of the Gods," where Iceland's conversion to Christianity around the year 1000 gave this beautiful waterfall its historic name. From there, we continue into the volcanic wonderland of Lake Mývatn, shaped by eruptions nearly 3,800 years ago. One of the area's absolute highlights is Dimmuborgir, a surreal landscape of towering lava formations, caves, and ancient legends that feels like stepping into a fantasy world. The route then follows scenic roads to the charming fishing town of Húsavík, Europe's whale-watching capital. And of course, we had organized a whale-watching tour on Skjálfandi Bay—and it was absolutely worth the short riding day! Watching humpback whales surface just a few meters from our boat was an unforgettable experience and another reminder of how incredible Iceland truly is. Every day on this journey reveals a different side of the Land of Fire and Ice. From roaring waterfalls and volcanic landscapes to remote gravel roads and amazing wildlife, Iceland continues to surprise us at every turn. As another fantastic day comes to an end, we're already looking forward to tomorrow: a full day of spectacular off-road riding through some of Iceland's most breathtaking and remote landscapes. Day 3 – F35 Highland Adventure - Between Glaciers and Endless Gravel Roads Today was one of the absolute highlights of our journey—our first major off-road adventure. Leaving the green landscapes of southern Iceland behind, we headed deep into the wild interior on the legendary F35, also known as the Kjölur Route. Running between the mighty Langjökull and Hofsjökull glaciers, this famous highland track is one of the most spectacular gravel roads in Iceland. Before reaching the Highlands, however, we visited another Icelandic icon: the Golden Circle. This world-famous sightseeing route connects some of the country's most impressive natural wonders, including the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall. Known as the "Golden Waterfall," Gullfoss is one of Iceland's most famous landmarks. The glacial river Hvítá plunges over two dramatic cascades, dropping around 32 meters (105 feet) into a narrow canyon below. On sunny days, up to 1,400 cubic meters of water per second thunder into the gorge, creating brilliant rainbows in the rising mist. Today, however, Gullfoss revealed its wilder Icelandic character. Heavy rain, thick fog and low-hanging clouds gave the waterfall an almost mystical atmosphere. The morning started exactly as many people imagine Iceland—rain, fog and limited visibility made the first miles a real challenge. But the further we rode into the Highlands, the more the weather began to improve. By lunchtime, the roads had started to dry, the clouds slowly lifted and visibility became better with every kilometer. As the gravel dried out, the riding enjoyment increased dramatically. Every mile along the F35 reminded us why this route is considered one of Iceland's greatest motorcycle roads. Endless gravel tracks, vast lava fields and wide-open highland plains created an unforgettable riding experience. Under normal conditions, the impressive glaciers Langjökull and Hofsjökull dominate the horizon on either side of the route. Unfortunately, Iceland had different plans for us today. Dense clouds kept both glaciers hidden throughout the day, allowing us only to imagine the spectacular scenery beyond the mist. But that's exactly what makes Iceland so special. Nature doesn't always reveal its postcard-perfect side. Instead, it offers something even more memorable—raw, untamed landscapes that constantly remind you who's really in charge. That sense of adventure is something you never forget. Our international group tackled the first off-road day with great enthusiasm, teamwork and plenty of smiles behind the helmets. For some riders, it was their first extended experience on loose gravel, but confidence grew with every mile. What began with a little respect quickly turned into pure excitement. Passing the impressive Blöndulón Reservoir, we eventually descended towards Sauðárkrókur, where we finished the day overlooking the beautiful bay in the soft evening light—a perfect ending to an incredible ride. A fantastic introduction to Iceland's Highlands: starting the day in rain, finishing on dry roads, and ending with unforgettable memories of our very first highland adventure. With the smell of the local fish factory still in our nostrils we depart from Húsavik and ride the first hour along the magnificent coastline. The clouds, the waves, the green grass and blue skies make it look perfect! At the Asbyrgi canyon there are no other people, just us. This gives us a good opportunity to enjoy the magical atmosphere of this horse shoe shaped canyon. Not far from there is the Hafragilsfoss especially the ride up there is realy nice. The view of this waterfall is stunning! And just when you think it can't get any better, it does. Because there is Dettifoss! The largest waterfall of Europe. It makes one feel small, and in awe of the power of nature. Continuing on nice hard gravel roads we ride thrue a landscape that resembles the surface of the moon. At our lunch place we also see some animals. Dogs, sheep, a goat and even a reindeer! And yes! We still have a very nice stretch of off road ahead of us! This time it leads to the Stuðlagil Canyon. Known for its towering hexagonal basalt formations and vivid turquoise river, the canyon gained international attention after the flow of the Jökulsá á Dal (Jökla) River was reduced due to the Kárahnjúkar Hydropower Plant project. As we're going to stay 2 nights in our next hotel, we're lucky enough that this one is beautifully located Lagarfljót lake. A dip in a hottub, a cold beer and a good meal are the proper way to end this lovely day!

What can one expect from a rest day ride on the east side of Iceland? Snow covered mountains, waterfalls, a shipwreck, an incredible beautiful Fjord, a lighthouse and views that end at the horizon. It always is difficult to say if a ride day is the most beautiful one, but this one certainly comes close. The road that winds along the Fjord is covered with 6 meters (18 feet) of snow in the winter. But not today. Today we're having 18°c, and blue skies. Coming back at our hotel there is still plenty of time to relax in a hottub, take a little nap and try one of the many local beers.

From the Eastfjords to the Glacier | Egilsstaðir to Höfn Today’s ride took us from Egilsstaðir along Iceland’s dramatic Eastfjords to Höfn—a stage packed with contrasts, breathtaking scenery, and a healthy dose of adventure. Our first stop was the Snæfellsstofa Visitor Centre, the gateway to Vatnajökull National Park. Here, you quickly discover why this region is considered one of Europe’s most spectacular natural landscapes. Covering around 8,100 square kilometers—roughly 8% of Iceland’s total land area—Vatnajökull is the largest glacier in Europe. In some places, the ice is more than one kilometer thick, while beneath it lie several of Iceland’s most active volcanoes. These are numbers that are hard to imagine… until you stand in front of this incredible glacier yourself. Before reaching the ice, however, an unforgettable ride awaited us. We headed onto gravel roads to the stunning Folaldafoss waterfall before crossing the legendary Öxi Pass. Our timing could not have been better. While we were exploring the visitor center, the rain clouds disappeared, giving way to blue skies and spectacular panoramic views. After plenty of photo stops, we arrived in Djúpivogur, a charming fishing village on the East Coast. It was the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed lunch break before continuing along Iceland’s spectacular coastal road. And what a road it is! Around nearly every corner, a new panorama unfolds—towering mountains, deep-blue fjords, and endless open landscapes. The sun was shining brightly, although the powerful Icelandic wind reminded us that we were still riding in the middle of the North Atlantic. At times it made the ride more challenging, but that’s all part of the Iceland motorcycle adventure. When we finally reached our destination in Höfn, we couldn’t resist one last surprise. Of course, we had to squeeze in another off-road detour. The gravel track led us all the way to the glacier tongue of Hoffellsjökull, giving us a first glimpse of the incredible glacier experience waiting for us tomorrow. Another unforgettable day is behind us—filled with twisty roads, gravel tracks, waterfalls, glaciers, and some of the most spectacular scenery Iceland has to offer. Today is the day of many unpronounceable names. Our first picture stop is at the Skálafellssjökull glacier. Beautiful with the glistering sun, blue skies and white ice! At the Jökulsarlon lagoon we get to ride/sail in an amphibian vehicle. Drifting along ancient iceberg you feel very small. The chunks of ice come from the Breiðakerkurjökull glacier. The idea that this ice is thousands of years old make you think. A once in a lifetime experience! Further up we ride along the highest mountain of Iceland, the Hvannadalshnúkur, 2110 mtr/6900ft. Just before lunch another highlight. Truly. We walk for a bit and are in awe of the view of the Skaftafellsjökull glacier! So much ice, hundreds of meters, slowly being pushed down. Wauw! Another waterfall? Yes off course! Worth while the stop for the ðveráfoss. And still it's not over. Better yet, the best is still to come! We off road to the Fagrisfoss, the most beautiful waterfall we've seen so far. And! The road going there! Several watercrossing and nice sections of gravel in between. It feels awesome to overcome the fysical and mental challenges. A well deserved beer at the end is a worthy closure of the day. But wait, it isn't over yet! There is a brewery at walking distance from our hotel. And as we like to meet the locals we pay them a visit there. When we get back to.the hotel Axel has prepared a surprise: whiskey with ice from the glacier! A piece of 1000 year ice in your whiskey is an unique experience!

Puffins, Waterfalls & Fire Beneath Our Feet Kirkjubæjarklaustur to Geysir After the spectacular days in southeast Iceland, today's ride was a little more relaxed. But in Iceland, an easier riding day certainly doesn't mean there's less to see. The breathtaking scenery along the South Coast keeps surprising us around every corner. Just outside Kirkjubæjarklaustur, we ride through the vast lava fields created by the massive Laki eruption in 1783. What was once a barren volcanic wasteland is now covered by a thick carpet of vibrant green moss, creating one of the most surreal landscapes on the island. Our next stop is the famous Black Sand Beach near Vík. Jet-black volcanic sand, the crashing waves of the North Atlantic and the dramatic sea stacks offshore create one of Iceland's most iconic coastal views. Only a few minutes later we arrive at Cape Dyrhólaey, home to the famous rock arch that has become one of Iceland's most photographed landmarks. At this time of year, however, the real stars are the puffins. Everywhere you look they are flying, landing, nesting and entertaining us with their endless activity. It felt like there were about 2,526 puffins... and after roughly 200 photos, we finally managed to leave this incredible place. Back on the Ring Road we continue west to the mighty Skógafoss. Water plunges 60 metres (197 ft) straight down into the mist below, creating one of Iceland's most impressive waterfalls. From the bottom, its sheer power is unforgettable, while the climb to the top often rewards us with stunning coastal views and, if we're lucky, a beautiful rainbow. And since you can never have too many waterfalls in Iceland, we make one more stop at Seljalandsfoss. This unique waterfall allows visitors to walk behind the cascading water, offering a completely different perspective and an unforgettable experience. After all that water, it's time to discover the other force that shaped Iceland: fire. At the Lava Centre, we dive deep into the geological history of the island. Interactive exhibits and spectacular presentations reveal just how active the earth still is beneath our feet. It's the perfect reminder why Iceland truly deserves its nickname: The Land of Fire and Ice. Of course, every great riding day also requires the essentials: ice cream, espresso and fuel—for both the riders and the motorcycles. Fully recharged, we continue towards Geysir But the day isn't over just yet. Right across from our hotel lies one final highlight: the famous Strokkur Geyser. Every few minutes it erupts, sending boiling water high into the air and delivering the perfect finale to another unforgettable day in Iceland. Tomorrow is hard to believe... it's already our last riding day. Amazing how quickly time flies when every single day is packed with unforgettable adventures. Ever woken up next to a geyser? We did. And even were able to look at one during breakfast. And at our first stop we saw a beautiful crater so it was a real volcanic theme in the morning. At the ðingvellir national park the coffee and view are great. But it's especially the road towards there that is really nice! Meandering along a lake, forests and hills we're having a great time! At the Hvalfjörður (fjord) the view is great. And so is our last lunch. Local fish, meat and good soup. And when everyone has arrived safe at the hote the euphoria feels so good!
