Alsp Riding Academy 🇮🇹
Our first day of the tour began with a 2½-hour theoretical session in the briefing room, where we learned the fundamentals of safe motorcycle riding. After the theory, we headed to the safety park to practice a variety of riding skills and improve our confidence and control. To finish the day, we enjoyed a short and fun ride on the go-kart track before returning to our beautiful hotel. After a wonderful sunny day, a cold beer and an amazing dinner were waiting for us—the perfect way to end an unforgettable first day.
The second day of our motorcycle tour offered perfect riding conditions: sunshine, pleasant temperatures, and ideal roads for another great day on the bikes. Charles and Laszlo spent the day riding over Passo di Pennes (2211m) and Passo di Monte Giovo (2094), two of South Tyrol’s most popular mountain passes. With a mix of flowing bends, tight hairpins, and stunning alpine scenery, both passes provide an unforgettable riding experience. Meanwhile, Abdul and Lemy joined Christian on a third, quieter mountain pass with very little traffic. The focus of the day was improving cornering skills. On the quiet road, they were able to put the techniques learned the previous day into practice before reinforcing them with additional exercises in a parking area, concentrating on vision, line selection, and bike control. Another successful day filled with great roads, valuable experience, and plenty of smiles.
We woke up to perfect sunshine and started the day by riding the same twisty road full of fast sweepers that we had already enjoyed on Day 2. It was the perfect warm-up before heading into the mountains. In South Tyrol, many traditional dairy farms also have small restaurants, making them great places to stop. Christian took us to one of these local farms for our first coffee of the day, surrounded by peaceful alpine scenery. From there, we followed the famous Wine Road towards Passo della Mendola (1,363 m). The route offered beautiful views of vineyards before climbing to the pass, where we stopped for lunch. It’s a popular place for hikers and visitors who come to enjoy the fresh mountain air and the scenery. In the afternoon, we continued to Cavalese for a delicious affogato with an amazing view of the Dolomites. After that, we enjoyed a relaxed ride back to the hotel, finishing another fantastic day safely.
Three days of training on technically demanding roads paid off as we made our way to Garda today. Narrow provincial roads, Passo Sommo, and the mountain road through Monte Baldo Nature Park left no room for driving mistakes. The tight right-hand hairpin bends occasionally raised our pulse, but the light traffic made the ride much more enjoyable. We had truly earned our dinner at a typical Italian restaurant, and the cheerful atmosphere reflected that perfectly. Our last day began with the ferry from Torre del Benaco across Lake Garda to Toscolano Maderno. The Gardesana Occidentale treated us to breathtaking views despite the heavy traffic – just part of the experience. The legendary Strada della Forra, famous from a James Bond chase, was pure riding pleasure. Lemy was so focused on his GS that he completely missed our photo stop and kept going – unstoppable. We met up again during a coffee break high above the lake, where we enjoyed spectacular views of the sailboats and windsurfers below. We tackled the hairpins of Monte Bondone with a smile. Thousands of corners over the past days had clearly paid off. One final challenge awaited us in the city traffic of Trento before we all rolled back into Klobenstein SAFE AND SOUND.
