Shopping, Schnitzel and Switchbacks
We're repeat offenders – once again on an AMA tour, crossing the Alps from east to west. She is already on the road, starting the adventure right here in Vienna. He brought her and the bike to the city, then headed back home. He will join the tour a few days later. At least they shared one thing on Day 1: a gentle warm‑up — a short city stroll, a bit of shopping, and the first souvenirs already packed. The calm before the real riding begins tomorrow.
She is on a tour alone for the first time in a long while – but surrounded by a friendly group that promises plenty of good vibes along the way.
The group is full of energy today. Everyone is ready for the longer loop, and after a strong breakfast they get on the bikes, excited for what’s ahead.
The weather promises a fantastic day on two wheels.
Another day in Moena — but she has no intention of relaxing. With weather this spectacular, she wants to make the most of every moment in the mountains.
She is looking forward to another day packed with curves as she studies the route poster during the daily briefing.
A pleasant surprise awaits the group at breakfast: this morning, they show up as a pair. He arrived late last night on his motorcycle and is finally joining the adventure. 😀
Mountain passes, perfect weather and Swiss mountain roads. What could possibly go wrong? As it turns out: quite a few things. Luckily, they all became part of another memorable day in the Alps. 🏍️😊
She can hardly believe they are already on Day 9 of the tour. Even better: there are still several riding days ahead.
She hopes for another day packed with highlights. Looking at the route, all she can think about are the countless curves and mountain passes ahead. As it turns out, the planned route will even gain two extra passes along the way.
Before saying goodbye, she would like to thank the entire group for making this tour so special. And since he finally joined the tour halfway through, he would like to do the same. Great roads and stunning mountain passes are one thing, but it is the people you share them with that make a trip truly memorable. It was a pleasure riding, laughing, eating and exploring with all of you. They wish everyone safe travels and hope to meet again somewhere down the road.
Today starts at a more relaxed pace. They sleep a little longer and take their time over breakfast. After all, there is no riding planned just yet.
The first full riding day is finally here.
A rest day? Not really. The plan for today is simple: get up early. A good breakfast is essential to build a solid foundation for whatever challenge lies ahead.
The last day arrives far sooner than anyone would like. With one final ride ahead of them and Bergamo waiting at the end of the road, the group sets out to make the most of every remaining kilometer.
