Riding day 1: Vancouver to Osoyoos Lake

our adventure Canada begins in Vancouver. There we pick up our motorcycles in the morning. After escaping the traffic of this lively and fascinating city, we experience Canada in all its glory. The traffic eases and towards the end of the day we are even alone on the road for a while. We enjoy the view of the "Cascade Mountains" and the special climate in the Okanagan Valley before we move into our quarters in Osoyoos.

unser Abenteuer Kanada beginnt in Vancouver.

Riding day 2: Osoyoos Lake to Nelson

Another day in paradise is in store for us as we do our morning briefing on the shores of Lake Osoyoss. The weather could not be better. Canada shows itself from its best side. First we go up into the mountains which we could already see from the shore of the lake. From there we have a breathtaking view over a part of the fertile Okanagan valley and the Osoyoss lake. Thus the route leads us further by innumerable long drawn curves up to the syphatisch sleepy Greenwood. In Christiana Lake, only a little later, another spectacular view awaits us. Then we continue through wide valleys and dense coniferous forests to Nelson, our destination today.

Riding day 3: Nelson to Vernon

Our day begins once again with the best weather. The sun is shining, it is wonderfully warm and the landscape is breathtaking. We have a great day of riding ahead of us. The Kootenay region and the lake accompany us through the day. From the driver's perspective, the day has a lot to offer. There are countless curves through endless coniferous forests, ending again and again in wide valleys and romantic "western towns". The paddle steamer, which should be one of our highlights today, is unfortunately a construction site. But we are compensated at the end of the day with the "Monashee Pass", which not only the local motorcyclists appreciate.

Riding day 4: Vernon to Golden

Our today's riding day stands in the sign of the mountain world of Alaska. although we have the last days again and again an idea of how enormous the landscape can be here. But we will really dive into the mountains today. Were the last days rather characterized by hills and wide valleys so we see ourselves today mighty rocks and mountains opposite. After a stop at one of the most important places of recent Canadian history, the "Meadows in the Sky parkway", a wonderful motorcycle route, leads us up to 1600m. Located in the "Revelstoke National Park", the route has a lot to offer in terms of riding, as well as wonderful views. Along the "Trans Canadian highway" it goes over the "Rogers Pass" down to "Golden" Again and again we get wonderful mountain panoramas. Dreamlike.

Traumhaft.

Riding day 5: Golden to Lake Louise

Today the focus is again on Canada and its beauty. We will visit world famous cities and places today. To get there, we will drive through spectacular landscapes.
The day starts a bit cooler than the last one. The light is a bit more diffuse.
After our coffee stop we will head to Banff, one of the most beautiful places in the world. Of course we could take the Trans Alaska Highway, but we decide to take a detour which leads us through the "Banff National Park" we are rewarded with little traffic and incredible panoramas. After we have explored Banff for over 2 hours we head towards our destination today, Lake Louis. Unfortunately, the "Bow Valley Parkway" is partially closed we try our luck at a later access and can at least marvel at the "Castlerock Cliffs" before we reach our destination. What a day

Riding day 6: Lake Louise to Jasper

Today we have nothing less than one of the most spectacular panoramic roads in the world ahead of us. The "Icefields Parkway". Of course, the day starts again with the best weather. It is still pleasantly cool when we visit the world famous "Lake Louis" in the morning. Less known but also less visited is the "Moraine Lake", which is the famous neighbor lake in terms of beauty in nothing inferior. Then finally we go on the "Icefields Parkway". And what can we say, it is stunning, almost endless wide, spectacular mountain formations, glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. It is already something special to drive here with the motorcycle. Anyone can drive a car!

A feeling of loneliness never really arises on this road. After all, it is world famous. But there really isn't much going on here. And this "I'm out" feeling on the motorcycle comes up here so right.

Rest day: Jasper

Here we are, in Jasper, The city has much to offer. In addition to many small stores, restaurants and bars, for example, a cable car, an observatory and some art galleries. But now Jasper is in Canada, where, as we have seen in the last few days, there is also a lot of spectacular nature to marvel at. And while some enjoy the city, others do something quite unusual: they ride motorcycles. Just beyond the city limits, the impressive "Maligne Canyon" awaits us. A bit of hiking is good for the circulation and nature is balm for the soul. Afterwards, we descend through a valley framed by high mountains to "Maligne Lake". After all one of the most famous views in Canada. After a leisurely lunch we make our way back. A picture of the spectacularly beautiful "Medicine Lake" may it then but still be.

Riding day 7: Jasper to Kamloops

After it must have rained heavily overnight. The weather calms down again in the morning. It is somewhat fresh but at least dry from above. We face today the longest riding day of the tour, 550km, but at the end all will say it was worth it. As I said the weather is not perfect as we start. But when we arrive at "Mount Robson" we can admire him in almost all his glory. Only its summit is covered in a picturesque as well as symetric cloud cover. We continue to reel off diligently km until we reach Clearwater. There Nigel waits for us at a lake. Picnic time! After we have eaten and relaxed a bit, we continue through a picturesque valley to the "Helmcken" waterfall. The detour was definitely worth it.

Picknick time!

Riding day 8: Kamloops to Vancouver

Our last day is dawning This starts to top it all off even half an hour earlier than usual. But it will be worth it. Our program today will be a little tighter than the last few days, but we escape the freeway and take us instead highway 99. That doesn't sound very spectacular at first, but the road has a lot to offer. This highway is extremely popular with local motorcyclists. It is narrow and extremely winding for Canadian conditions. It also offers extraordinary panoramas and different climates. Sometimes we feel more like in the south of Europe or California. At noon we even have some time to stroll through Whistler in the best weather. What a conclusion. Thanks to all for the great time, this trip will remain in our memories for a long time.

in the morning we go along the "Lake Kamloops" The weather is perfect, not too warm, not too cold Thank you Canada
