Day 2: Málaga to Granada - Let’s Do It

With a breathtaking sunrise we will start our tour
That will be our first day on this tour

Welcome to our first riding Day to Granada

.

The luggage is load, the batteries are charged with a good Breakfast and the first briefing is done.

So we are ready for take off.

And so we did!

To get out of Malaga we took a little stretch of the highway wich brought us to our first motorcycle playground close to the Costa del Sol.

Riding through the Mountains of Malaga has been a great start and if you got a stunning view!? Well then you should stop and take a picture of this breathtaking landscape.

After all the fun riding up we had ride down towards the Coastline where we had lunch. The view has been just great and on top it was a sunny day - so no thoughts about snow what we have we have back home.

On the afternoon it was time to take on the winding road towards Granada where we will stay for tonight and of course where the next highlight is already waiting for us (Alhambra).

You don't know what I mean? No problem just come back tomorrow here on the Blog for Day 2 and I show you where we went - Theme of the day tomorrow: Stepping back in Time 13 Century and on top some winding Roads.

That has been our first Day down here in Spain.

See you tomorrow

Day 3: Granada to Antequera the Day of Alhambra and 1 Million Olive Trees

Welcome to Day 3 Granada to Antequera

.

Good Morning Good Morning

And a warm welcome to our day 3.

What have we done today!?

Well, if you are in Granada! You got to go to the Alhambra – A place what is really unique.

Why? I will not tell, until you are on the Tour with us but what I can say is:

It is really impressive what has been possible to build in the 13 century.

That means in the morning we started first with the taxi up to the Alhambra where spend around 2 hours – where we stepped back in time, a time where the Christians and the Moors has been fight for the land of the now known Spain.

Finally the Moors lost the fight, but the footprint what they had down here you will find in a lot of places. If you look at the pictures, you will understand what I mean.

So after this adventure in the Alhambra we went back to the Hotel where we get changed, so that we can move on to the next surprise.

If you know me or follow my Blogs you know alredy what it is – Picnic Time.

So after a couple kilometers we met with Marko again, who have prepared a delicious Picnic for us.

After enjoying Markos kitchen we had to keep on going because there have been still 130 km to be ridden. And so we did – Along Millions of Olive Trees.

Doesn’t matter where you look for the next 100 km there have been everywhere Olive trees.

May it sounds a little boring but I promise you it is not!! The reason for that is the road what we have been on – small winding roads has been our dessert after the lunch until the Hotel.

All in One – it was a great second riding Day

Know I got to choose some pictures what I let you see.

So see you here for Day 4

Marko and Axel

Picnic is ready

Day 4: Antequera to Arcos de la Frontera

After a typical Spanish breakfast we started our bikes, ready fo new adventures.

Today was full of great sights, natural and manmade. We started out with a ride to El Torcal, where we had an incredible view all the way to Malaga and the Costa del Sol. Next was the Garganta del Chorro, a huge gorge, sometimes only 30ft wide!

After lunch - delicious as always - we had to put on our rain gear, quite unusual in this region. Thanks to the rain, the usually busy "white village" of Zahara was almost deserted. Thr rain stopped in time for more great views and a dry ride to our spectacular destination high up on a steep cliff, Arcos de la Frontera.

Day 5: Arcos de la Frontera to Ronda

Day 5: Arcos de la Frontera to Ronda

Bulls + Monkeys + Caves + The Road to Ronda

= A Day off Happiness

Welcome to the Show of day 5.

We are riding down to Gibraltar and up to Ronda with some highlights along the way.

The only thing what have been no highlight – has been the Weather!!!!!

Acros has been covered in clouds in the morning and at night there has been a big Rain front which wake one or the other up.

Well, it is like it is and we will make the best out of it.

So first we had to get back down through narrow roads from the charming village of Acros.

With the rain it was a kind of challenging on the copper stone roads – but nothing what we can´t handle. Afterwards we went down south, towards the first highlight and a highlight what can disappear so it is not so sure that you can see it. What I mean is – The Famous Bulls of Spain!!!!

Finally, after several kilometers of winding roads we stopped along the road, and we found them. Now it was time to move on, because we gonne have lunch today in England.

England how should that be possible? – Easy we are entering the boarder of Gibraltar over the Airfield – Sound special and it is !!!!

Gibraltar what belongs to England since 1704 is one of the fortresses what you should visit once in your Life!!! It is called The Rock for a reason and inside the rock there are 52 km of tunnel and outside there are living wild monkeys. So, that has been for sure a place what we will remember forever.

After lunch and the adventure in and of the Rock we came to the good part of riding.

We went on or better up to Ronda, what is really well known as a motorcycle paradise.

Nice sweepers and curves curves curves all over the place.

Now we are in Ronda for 2 days and tomorrow I guess we will ride again because if you are here you should not miss this roads

That has been our day 5 – all in one except from the weather it was just great

Marko and Axel are hungry and that why – see you tomorrow

Day 6: Rest day in Ronda

Rest day - we used the chance to sleep in a little bit, before we started our bikes for a short ride through the mountains around Ronda.

The weather forecast promised dry weather - and was lying! It was wet most of the time, but the scenery was incredibly beautiful nonetheless.

We ended our ride with a great picnic provided by Axel. Now we can explore Ronda a little bit - finally the sun found it's way through the clouds!

Day 7: Ronda to Málaga - Rain Rain and a little less Rain

Day 7: Ronda to Málaga

Here we go again on more time on this Tour.

Our last riding Day in Spain – So quick is the time slipping away.

Only 7 Day´s ago we start. But before we start to say goodbye there has been one last riding day at this tour!!!

Well, sometimes you are just unlucky with the weather – we got rain almost over the complete day but there is nothing what can stop us.

First part of the ride today has been that we went down towards the coast and that road is breathtaking nice. The whole day runs under the theme of curves, so it is actually no surprise.

But if you are on it!! Then it you know what we mean at the morning briefing.

Down on the coastline it was time to have a coffee and something local what we missed until now – Churros has been on the list since day 1. And so we did. After his little highlight we went back on the road and took a other one up to Ronda where we came from. If you wonder, why just because we can and because the road up to Ronda is a must have. The weather still did not like us that much so that we got to watch out along the way. But it was still a pleasure.

Next stop has been lunch where a soup recharged our batteries so that we cut move on towards Malaga. The way down to Malaga is personally my favorite part of this day and on top we had some dry sections where we ride as we like it.

Well and now we are in Malaga where we will go out tonight to have dinner and maybe some Paella because this one is missing on our bucked list as well.

Marko and I have to say goodbye tonight because the most of the group are leaving verry verry early. One thing we like to say also here and not only to the group at the goodbye moment.

It was a pleasure to ride with you and we hope that we will see us soon again. For me I can say that a lot of memories has been build up – like …. The Food Tester of the Group.

I really liked it to ride with you and hey the next time we look for a sunny ride.

Once again thank you

Marko and Axel

It was such a rain day so that we made not that much pictures but even in rain the landscape has been really nice
Look at the Sky - this clouds has been with us the whole day
it is never to early or to late for a boot beer
Marko and I just thinking why does it has not been like this the whole day

Hi Axel - what’s the best way to download the pics so I can use them in a tabletop book? I love remembering what an awesome time we had in Spain thanks to you and Marco. I hope you are well and traveling to all the places you want to go.
