Picnic
A very Good Start - Group picture

We leave Erding

The first driving day....

As always on the first day of riding, the excitement was big. Unfamiliar motorcycles, another country with (somewhat) different rules, riding in a large group, etc.

Nevertheless, everyone got used to the new situation and after a short time the group followed the tour guide fluently and without problems. Although the route today, with about 270 km total length was not so easy, everything worked great and we reached our destination in Rothenburg ob der Tauber safely in the evening.

In between the one or other mandatory photo and coffee stop was also taken. The beautiful landscape through the hop plantations and in the Altmühltal, along the Neckar and hundreds of curves. Biker heard what else do you want?. A successful day that was finished in the evening with a tour of Rothenburg led by a medieval night watch man

Day two can come...

Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Heidelberg is the next step

It goes through the idyllic Jagsttal

Today we start relaxed from Rothenburg.

We swing leisurely through the Hohenlohe along the Jagst to Schöntal. We visit the monastery of the same name and enjoy our coffee next door.

A nice surprise is the picnic.

In a relaxed way we roll through part of the Odenwald and past castles and palaces.

before we move into our domicile for today high above Heidelberg

Gill is very helpful as I don't speak Chinese at all, Thank you
Our first picnic, big thanks to TOM

Let's go to France

Today the route took us from Heidelberg to Ribeauville in France. After enjoying the breathtaking view from the Schlossberg in Heidelberg for the last time, we left through the Black Forest towards the Vosges. A beautiful day of driving with many small roads, some of which lead through dark forests. After the lunch break at the Mummelsee, we went through the Rhine valley into France, to the beautiful village of Ribeauville. There we ended the evening with a typical Alsatian tarte flambée and a good glass of wine.

A rest day in the Vosges

A rest day and no motorcycle riding? No way!

A little later than usual, we started the day, took it easy and visited first the castle above Ribeauville. We were lucky, because there was not much going on up there...(not yet) The route of today went over several "Cols" to Munster where we saw a lot of storks and did some souvenir shopping. Since today was officially a rest day, we made only 160 km . The last evening in the Vosges is then enjoyed with a delicious dinner in the old town of Ribeauville. Tomorrow morning we continue on our European tour. Stay tuned!

Ada, what are you doing?
so what,
This is mandatory in the black forest...
No spoon for the black forest cake - no problem
the famous Edelweiss picnic
it was the best picnic ever
Next country on our list: Switzerland
safety first, even on a boat tour

Today the tour took us through three countries. Start in France, through Germany, into Switzerland.  After the viewpoint Kandel we went to the Hexenlochmühle in order to try the famous black forest cherry cake and right after another Edelweiss picnic. The Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen, which we explored in detail on a boat tour, was the highlight at the end of the day.

The last day on the road

Linderhof Palace

Plansee

Today was our last driving day. Unfortunately. Early in the morning we started in Schoppernau and drove over the Hochtannbergpass, along the Lech, towards the Ammergebirge and Plansee. After a short stop at the lake we went for an extensive tour to Linderhof Castle. A last stop in the afternoon in the beer garden in Aying, before we drove to tour final destination in Erding.

A wonderful tour that unfortunately also comes to an end at some point.

It was an honor to ride with the group from Taiwan and we made many new friends. Thanks to these great people. We hope to see you again.
