Highlights
Croatia is an outstanding holiday destination. And on a scooter it’s even better!
Croatia, the unspoiled gem at the Adriatic Sea! Since the end of the Austro-Hungarian regime, Opatija has been well-known as a top tourist destination. The town's clear water, good food and fantastic coastal roads along all those wonderful bays attract many visitors. It’s our home base on this tour.
Exploring the peninsula of Istria, we visit the Lim canal, famous for its mussels and oysters, and also pay a visit to the South of the peninsula, where we stop to see the ancient Roman Pula Arena. On our ride to Slovenia, we visit the Postojna Caves, the world’s second-largest limestone caves open to tourists. Unfortunately, we don‘t have enough time to go to all of Croatia‘s 1,244 beautiful islands but, of course, we will get to see the two most beautiful ones! We cross the crystal-clear waters by ferry from Brestova to the island of Cres and then on to Krk, which is the largest of all these islands.
We complete our scooter tour with a wonderful ride to the northern part of Croatia, to Risnjak National Park, and enjoy the local cuisine there.
