A scooter tour in Tuscany with plenty of time to experience the enviable Italian lifestyle.

Savor a full week of Tuscany – on a Vespa! From our home base, the incomparable city of Florence, we ride our scooters to a different destination with new highlights every day.

Our first tour takes us to the small medieval hill town of San Gimignano, aka the “Medieval Manhattan”. Day two is a gentle cruise across the hills of one of the world's most famous wine regions, Chianti. In Siena you‘ll learn all about the Palio di Siena, with enough time to discover the town and enjoy a cappuccino on the Piazza del Campo. Next destination is Arezzo, once one of the most powerful Etruscan towns and nowadays the center of the Italian jewelry industry. We also venture to the North of Florence, to Mugello with its famous MotoGP race track, but the region has much more to offer. The roads here are made for biking and scootering, and that’s exactly what we do.

On the last riding day you can choose: Visit the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa by train or join us on a beautiful scooter ride to the Arno valley, a cooking class as well a an olive oil tasting can be visited. Both services are not included in your tourprice.

Tuscany by Scooter

Traveling through Tuscany on two wheels is just an amazing experience. All the beautiful medieval towns, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the twisty country roads, Italian pizza, pasta and espresso, and not to forget the Duomo in Florence - these guarantee a full week of excitement, and memories that last a lifetime. Our group of friends has done several tours with Edelweiss Bike Travel already and we have sometimes even asked them to put together a private tour just for us. We will keep riding around the world with Edelweiss - for sure!

Why have we already booked our third scooter tour with Edelweiss? Because they are such good fun! Paul is a keen motorcyclist, but I don‘t like to ride so fast, so scootering is something both of us can share and enjoy. Staying at one base, you get the chance to explore an area. The guide leads you out every day on the best and most scenic routes with no pressure, good food, and coffee stops. The riding can be long and challenging and you need to be experienced on 2 wheels, not a beginner. So if you, like we, want to capture the retro spirit, this could be a great holiday for you!

Tuscany by Scooter

To us, Tuscany is: A child‘s dream, movie-like landscapes, ancient cities and happy people. This Tuscany by Scooter tour exceeded all our expectations. Scooter riding is safe, the speed is acceptable and you can stop anywhere to have a look or walk around! In Tuscany, especially, we enjoyed going to places which not many people visit, and enjoying the cinema of landscapes, the olive smell and the Italian food – it was wonderful! Our tour guide, Ursula, took care of all of our needs, of course! We returned home having had a wonderful tour and are already making plans for the next one.
