Mediterranean Alps Extreme

The Alps stretch for around a thousand kilometers from Vienna to the Côte d’Azur, where they drop quite steeply to the sea. And when mountains and sea meet, one thing is almost always guaranteed: stunning scenery and magnificent curves. This is also the case here, on both sides of the border. Both Liguria and the hinterland of the French Riviera are among the best the world has to offer for motorcyclists. And this tour is one of the curviest that the Edelweiss catalog has to offer, and also one of the most challenging, at least in Europe and on asphalt.

Our program includes the scenic road around the Canyon du Verdon and numerous small, unknown mountain passes, as well as fantastic coastal roads that offer magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea. We see many small mountain villages, some beautifully restored, others virtually abandoned. The much-praised villages of the Cinque Terre are a must, as is a glimpse of Monaco, but despite all the sights and beautiful scenery, the focus of the tour is above all on the riding pleasure offered by the countless winding roads. Or is it ultimately the combination of all these things?

One thing is certain: there is hardly a better place to ride a motorcycle than here, where the Alps meet the Mediterranean and the sun almost always shines from a blue sky.
