Highlights
The Alps, a true motorcycle paradise, are home to great roads and breath-taking scenery.
Again and again you can hear people say that HARLEYS® wouldn’t be nimble enough for the narrow roads of the Alps and their tight hairpin turns. This is a position you should strongly oppose, because with a Harley you are perfectly equipped for any tour in the Alps. The trick is very simple: you ride slower, you enjoy more, and you have much more time for the good things along the way, because as we know, speed is not a factor on a Harley.
There are plenty of beautiful things to enjoy on this alpine tour: the picture-book villages in the Bavarian-Tyrolean border area, the mighty Großglockner, the unique Dolomites with their irresistible mixture of rugged rocks and lush green valleys, the historic town centers of Bolzano and Trento, the deep blue Lake Garda and the soul-stirring road along its western shore and much more. You can indulge in the best cappuccino and the best pizza and pasta in the world, obviously to be enjoyed with wonderful Italian wine.
At Lake Garda we spend a rest day where you could leave your Harley behind to go swimming, windsurfing or water skiing. No doubt, this is really Italy, the atmosphere is Mediterranean, it smells of ice cream and sunscreen. But the riding highlight is still to come: the famous Stelvio Pass, which is certainly more difficult to conquer on a Harley than on any adventure bike. But then again, the feeling of success is probably greater...
