The Alps, a true motorcycle paradise, are home to great roads and breath-taking scenery.

Again and again you can hear people say that HARLEYS® wouldn’t be nimble enough for the narrow roads of the Alps and their tight hairpin turns. This is a position you should strongly oppose, because with a Harley you are perfectly equipped for any tour in the Alps. The trick is very simple: you ride slower, you enjoy more, and you have much more time for the good things along the way, because as we know, speed is not a factor on a Harley.

There are plenty of beautiful things to enjoy on this alpine tour: the picture-book villages in the Bavarian-Tyrolean border area, the mighty Großglockner, the unique Dolomites with their irresistible mixture of rugged rocks and lush green valleys, the historic town centers of Bolzano and Trento, the deep blue Lake Garda and the soul-stirring road along its western shore and much more. You can indulge in the best cappuccino and the best pizza and pasta in the world, obviously to be enjoyed with wonderful Italian wine.

At Lake Garda we spend a rest day where you could leave your Harley behind to go swimming, windsurfing or water skiing. No doubt, this is really Italy, the atmosphere is Mediterranean, it smells of ice cream and sunscreen. But the riding highlight is still to come: the famous Stelvio Pass, which is certainly more difficult to conquer on a Harley than on any adventure bike. But then again, the feeling of success is probably greater...

Perfect Alps

I was asked by my friends: Why are you booking a tour through the Alps as you already live there? And why to you go with your Harley? Are you sure you can enjoy these routes with that bike? I did not want to prepare myself for this tour as I preferred to be surprised by the people i would meet, the places we would go and of course the routes we would take. That's why i did not have a closer look at the neat road book or the map provided in advance. And i truly have been surprised how this experience turned out to be. Some of the routes and highlights were not new to me however, this time I could also discover all the beauty through the eyes of my co-riders. And of course I also got to see new routes, hotels and places and made friends with the most wonderful people you could have on a tour. Have you ever ridden a Harley on top of Passo di Gavia? That is the best proof that you can go anywhere with a Harley. I really had a great time on this tour and will be back on tour with Edelweiss - probably the same trip again! Thank you fellow riders, tour guides and Edelweiss staff for a perfect Harley experience!

We just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone at Edelweiss for an amazing trip. It started with the booking and all of our questions being answered quickly and confidently regarding the trip, trip prep, and what to expect. Since we have never been to Europe before, we had a lot of questions. We met Uwe and Dieter, what a great couple of guys - they both made the trip an unforgettable experience. They answered a lot more questions and explained everything to perfection. Uwe took us on the Innsbruck city tour, which was great! What a great way to start this amazing trip. Totally worth the $ and would absolutely recommend it anyone going on the trip. The bikes arrived! All the bikes were first class. We had full days of riding Peaks and Passes; but that was only half the fun. Coming back for happy hour and dinner with Uwe and Dieter and the group to discuss the great riding and fun of the day is something we will never forget. Loved the great hotels and coming back to the hotel with our luggage already into the room really capped off the day. Coming from America, meeting Swiss, German, Chinese, and Austrian - Uwe and Dieter made us feel like family on day 1. What a great way to experience Europe! Congrats to Edelweiss for an amazing operation!
