Passo dello Stelvio- Europe´s most prestigious pass

If you want to ride the most challenging roads in the Alps, this tour is the right one for you. The Stelvio pass is the absolute highlight of this tour, but also the charming little mountain villages, the great roads and good food will make this trip an experience you will surely never forget.

On the first day you will explore small mountainous roads while riding to Schruns, Austria, where you will also spend the first night. This first riding day is perfect for getting used to your surroundings and your motorcycle. On this tour you will see high passes and some even higher mountains. Depending on the time of the year you will maybe even get the chance to spot snow on top of some mountain peaks. But of course, this tour is not only about riding, but also about the numerous hidden cultural gems in magical places, which you will discover.

Before heading to the very exciting 48 switch backs of Passo dello Stelvio, you will make a small side trip to Switzerland and spend the night in the famous town of St. Moritz. Definitely an unforgettable experience!

A tour extension before or after the standard tour is possible on request.

trip of a lifetime

This really was the trip of a lifetime for our group! We hope to ride with Edelweiss to a different location next year. The Stelvio tour was filled with so much great riding that we all left feeling exhilarated! Stelvio was certainly impressive, but smaller roads like Furkajoch, Splügen Pass and Albula Pass were also special treats.

Great planing!

We had an amazing time in the alps. Everything went very smooth thanks to edelweiss great preparation for us. Using the preloaded GPS was very easy, the preparation and attention to detail was great. Every day we had a new route to follow. We were on roads that nobody else knew about. This had to be from local knowledge. Your tips on what to see and where to eat were helpful. Lodging was all prearranged and much better than we expected. Thank you so much for a great time with my son. Looking forward to the next trip Scott

Trip of a lifetime

"Overall I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It was a trip of a lifetime for me and I am looking forward to booking future trips with Edelweiss. I thought Edelweiss planned an outstanding trip. I would not hesitate to suggest to another fellow motorcyclist to use your company."

– Al Ponto, USA

Fantastic!

"The tour was superbly planned! All of our hotels/b&b were extremely nice, way nicer than I would book for myself! The route was fantastic and unlike anything I've experienced in my riding career so far. I highly recommend using the preloaded GPS since you wont find most of the roads we took on any map. All this, plus superbly prepared motorcycles, amazing weather, and fantastic support from Ruth, Eva, Markus, and Tobias before and after departure made this a trip of a lifetime!"

Spectacular!

"I’ve enjoyed taking Edelweiss tours for years now. This was my first time doing their self-guided tours. I couldn’t have been happier! It was a pleasure working with Edelweiss and the hotel accommodations were spectacular. The routes provided on the GPS and accompanying booklet made this trip flawless. Routes were great, recommends stops for pictures, breaks and meals were spot on. I can’t wait to take on another Edelweiss self-guided tour next year."

Thank you Edelweiss for 2 years of wonderful memories

„This motorcycle tour of Stelvio was our second Edelweiss self-guided tour. The first, Tyrol, was so successful and so fun that we decided to bring more friends along this year and try a different tour. We were not disappointed. The staff helped us plan the trip from start to finish, booked all the hotels for us, sent us GPS files and maps so we could prepare and made suggestions for travel to and from the airport . All we had to do was arrange the flight! The bikes were well maintained and ran perfectly the entire time. The staff at the shop were incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, another great experience. My best advice for self guided is to do your homework. Don't be lazy. Spend some time looking at the routes, the maps, the GPS files well before your trip. And, when using the GPS, have BOTH routes and tracks display. We were displaying routes only...even though the tutorial at the shop suggested displaying both. That was our mistake entirely. But even then, we traveled with ease around 4 countries. The routes are well planned and take you on amazing roads with sights you will never forget. Ever. Thank you Edelweiss for 2 years of wonderful memories. We will be back.“

Because of this tour, there's no doubt in my mind that I will be returning to the Alps!

„This was my first tour with Edelweiss and by no means will be the last. This is a great tour to acquaint yourself with some of the best roads and mountain passes in the Alps and introduce yourself to touring with Edelweiss. The roads are insane, the food and local culture is fantastic, and the people are all incredibly friendly. The Stelvio Pass is definitely one of the highlights of the tour but passes like Furkajoch, Silvretta, Gacher Blick, Timmelsjoch were equally impressive, challenging, and mind blowing. Because of this tour, there's no doubt in my mind that I will be returning to the Alps several more times to ride some of these amazing roads again. Thank you Ruth, Marcus, and the rest of the Edelweiss team for this experience"

Off Season Alps

"Blipping down to second gear for the umpteenth downhill hairpin, I glanced down along the bike's fork and legs and thought for a moment that the callipers were glowing orange, which would have been no surprise given the punishment they'd been forced to take. But no, the Brembos were still their normal gold colour, exactly as per brochure."
