LIMITLESS – MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURE MONGOLIA
There are places on this earth that feel as though the world has been reset to factory settings.
Mongolia is such a place. No speed limit, hardly any asphalt, no horizon that doesn't eventually dissolve into endless sky.
Eight riding days, roughly 1,600 kilometers, a country that never quite lets you go:
we start in Ulaanbaatar – buzzing, raw, surprisingly alive – and set off into the unknown from day one.
Passing the monumental Genghis Khan statue and the quiet Delger Choir Monastery, we quickly plunge into the steppe, where asphalt becomes the exception and the real adventure begins.
The route takes us through a landscape that keeps reinventing itself: the bizarre granite formations of Baga Gazriin Chuluu, the crumbling walls of Ongi Monastery – once one of Central Asia's most important Buddhist centers – and the endless expanses between Arvaikheer and Khujirt.
The highlight is the Orkhon Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the heartland of Mongolian history, where a rest day leaves room for hiking, marveling, and simply taking it all in.
Heading back north, the hot springs of Tsenkher await as a well-earned reward for body and mind – before Karakorum, the legendary capital of the Mongol Empire, pulls us once more deep into history.
The finale is Elsen Tasarkhai: a mile-long ribbon of dunes right in the middle of the grass steppe, as if the Gobi had planted its northernmost outpost here.
From there, the final leg of the journey takes us back to Ulaanbaatar—with empty tanks, minds full of memories, and a silent promise to return.
This tour is an adventure for motorcyclists seeking authentic nature, real challenges, and genuine encounters.
