Highlights
This motorcycle tour gives an excellent insight into what riding in Europe is all about.
On this motorcycle tour you can discover all the things that you imagine when you think of Europe: half-timbered houses, castles and palaces, narrow roads through dense forests, ancient cities, cuckoo clocks, waitresses in dirndls, cows with bells around their necks and much more.
From Munich we first head northwest, cross the Hallertau hop growing region and ride along the romantic valley of the Altmühl. Lush green landscapes accompany us all the way to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the best-preserved medieval town in Germany. The student city of Heidelberg impresses with the longest pedestrian zone in the world and an extremely vibrant nightlife, and on the way there we get to enjoy the wonderfully winding routes of the Odenwald. We spend our rest day in Alsace, France, in a very pretty town full of half-timbered houses and cobblestone alleys full of cozy wine bars. It‘s a great place to relax and unwind, but of course you can also ride your bike, as the roads in Alsace are made for riding: full of bends and with little traffic! The Black Forest is a motorcycle paradise as well, and on the way to Switzerland we cross it and discover some of its best routes. In Switzerland, we take a look at Europe’s largest waterfall and then get very close to those high, snow-covered Alpine peaks. The narrow roads and tight bends on the way to Warth give you a small impression of how much fun it is to be out on a motorcycle tour across the Alps!
