Curvy mountain roads – that's what it is all about on this tour of the Alps. Don’t miss it!

Short and sweet: this motorcycle tour combines the very best from the world of the Northern Alps. The roads you can ride here are the „who-is-who“ of the Alpine passes: Grossglockner High Alpine Road, Stelvio, Mendel, and Gardena passes, Furkajoch, Gavia and Albula, to name but a few. Hundreds of hairpin turns are waiting for you, 87 of them on the „Stelvio“ alone, a road that every motorcyclist must ride (at least) once in his/her life!

The tour starts in Erding, a pretty town conveniently located right next to MUC Airport and therefore very close to Munich, the „Million People Village“, where you should definitely spend a few extra days. On the very first day of our tour we ride to and over the Grossglockner, stay overnight in charming Lienz and then cross the stunning Dolomites on the way to Bolzano. There, not only Ötzi, the famous Iceman, will be courting your attention, but also the beautiful old town and the countless fantastic motorcycle routes in the surrounding area which you should explore on our rest day. The next day the Queen of all Alpine roads is on the agenda, both a pleasure and a challenge, rewarded with a spectacular view and an excellent venison sausage sandwich. We spend one night in Switzerland, collect some more passes and then return to Austria. On the last day, on the way back to Erding, we will visit one of the famous castles of King Ludwig II. Straight from a fairytale - just like the whole tour!

We absolutely enjoyed this tour to the fullest! It was everything we expected and more. Definitely the trip of a lifetime that we will never forget. The tour guides and the people we ment in our group were such wonderful people. We learned so much history from Marco as well. Every day was new and exciting. We also enjoyed every single meal. Very excellent food from each region! We are so glad we did this and look forward to doing it again!

I can speak for everyone that this was one of the most epic trips we’ve ever been lucky enough to endure. Everything from accommodations to equipment was by far beyond our expectations which your company exceeded on every front. From the time we first reached out to book this tour to the last day we said goodbye, there was not a moment that any of us were disappointed. The pure professionalism that was shown not just with the booking administration, but also with our fantastic guides Mark and Holger. These two, certainly knew their stuff. Extremely knowledgeable with the bikes, and their ability on the road. It’s not easy to keep eight guys in line for the time we were together, but these two did an amazing job and I’m pretty sure they made 8 friends for life! We look forward to engaging again next year on a different adventure and hope to reunite with Mark and Holger to guide us through the magical landscapes that await us. Rainer, you’ve got an amazing company and your attention to detail is shown through your equipment and your staff. Well done Thank you again to all for the most epic trip we all have had!

An absolutely amazing tour

What an absolutely amazing tour; everything was just awesome! I wanted to attach a link to my ride report if anyone is interested: http://www.mikef5000.com/2017-europe-trip.html Thank you all so much! I don't know how it could've been any better. Mike Farrenkopf

I don't know if this is the best place to leave a glowing review, but it's the first I have found. My sons and I were on this ride, and all I can say is that it was a magical experience. Simply riding a motorcycle in that environment alone would be spectacular. Add to it the excellent guiding, the beautiful stops, the luggage that magically was in your hotel room each night before we were, the food, the drink, the other riders, and the beautiful hotels and cities where we stayed, and you have a truly divine experience. Gottfried and Bjorn (I can't find the umlaut on my keyboard!) were excellent at the herding of cats as it were, as well as providing valuable suggestions about things from riding to night time entertainment. I cannot thank Edelweiss enough for providing such a great experience. I would also like to say that the experience of booking, and the communications prior to the trip were also quite pleasant and cheerfully executed by Viktoria. She was always so sweet and helpful. One thing that I did, and am SO glad that I did, was to equip myself and my sons with helmet communicators. If you travel with a friend, definitely do that. You will see so many things that you want to "ooh and ahhh" over, and it's fun to share the experience. It was also nice to get a heads up about the truck coming around the mountain turn! Thank you again to Edelweiss, Bjorn, Gottfried, And Viktoria.

High Alpine Tour

I have wanted to go on this High Alpine Tour with Edelweiss for over 10 years … and finally made the call to confirm my trip. As time flies by all of us the next thing I know was landing in Germany and waiting for a taxi to the hotel. Also, I opted to get there a couple of days early to shake off the jet lag and to take part in the Guided City Tour of Munich, which was spectacular. Our group has been represented by six countries and the tour guides did speak all of the languages needed to communicate with everybody. Großglockner pass is the most spectacular place on earth and from there we went off to the Dolomites in Italy and all the beautiful vineyards. We did ride over smooth hills and dense forest and have seen a beautiful lake where our group could enjoy a famous Edelweiss picnic. Edelweiss is top notch and the best company for setting up a trip like this – the tour was exactly what life should be about every day, with people who care!
