South Africa Tour
Facts
Daily distances: 175-435 km, 109-270 miles
Highlights
Curvy mountain roads, stunning coastlines, and African wildlife!
South Africa is also called the "world in 1 country" because there are high mountains and wide plains, rugged coasts, and endless beaches, dry semi-deserts, and almost tropical-looking primeval forests. In addition, there is a wealth of flora and fauna that is second to none.
On this motorcycle tour, you will get to see all of that. In the Drakensberg Mountains, rushing waterfalls await us, and at "God's Window" a view that can only be described as divine. In Kruger National Park you can see lions, elephants, rhinos, and many other wild animals at close range, and in the evening, while enjoying your meal under the starry sky, you can hear the lions roar in the distance. We will immerse ourselves in Zulu culture and the cultivation of wine grapes, which are pressed into some of the world's finest wines in the Cape Town hinterland.
The rest day in Franschhoek is perfect for oenological exploration! With a little luck, you'll be able to spot whales right from the shore, and with a little courage, you might jump off the world's highest Bungy bridge! Of course, we will also ride the famous Chapman's Peak Drive, this magnificent panoramic road high above the roaring Atlantic Ocean, and take the obligatory photo of the famous sign at the Cape of Good Hope. And of course, we’ll ride our motorcycles extensively, because that's what the wonderful routes in this one-world country are made for.
