Majestic Nova Scotia and Newfoundland CNF

A dream tour from charming Québec to the rugged majesty of Canada’s Atlantic coastline.

Québec, the 400 year-old capital of French Canada, is the Overture to this beautiful tour. Along the Saint Lawrence River we ride east, to New Brunswick and around the Bay of Fundy, where a 50 ft. tide rushes in and out twice each day. A rest day in Halifax gives you the chance to see the UNESCO-protected town of Lunenburg and have your picture taken at the world’s most-photographed lighthouse.

Further north we ride the ultra-scenic Cabot Trail that hugs the stunning coastline. Then an overnight ferry takes us to Newfoundland, where we explore the majestic wilderness and engaging culture of the island. Bare mountains, rugged coast, whales and icebergs are waiting for us, and colorful St. John’s at the far eastern end. From here we take another night ferry and return to Nova Scotia. Along the Lobster Coast we ride back to Quebec, cross “Le Fleuve” and follow its northern shore back to Quebec City.

As a rider on this wonderful trip, I would like to thank Edelweiss and in particular our wonderful guides Thomas Ritt and David Hien. They both made the trip not only smooth operationally, but interesting and always full of fun and good humor! We could all count on Thomas and David to greet us with a smile and a willingness to answer the myriad of questions the group posed.

I would also be remiss if I didn't thank each of the new riding friends I made on this trip. We had many laughs, compared stories of our lives, and all shared in the magnificent beauty that is Atlantic Canada.

To all, thank you for making this a life-long memorable trip. Please stay healthy, happy and riding safely. I hope that our paths will again cross in the future.

With best wishes,
Peter Fiedler

Majestic Nova Scotia and Newfoundland

The Newfoundland tour with Edelweiss has been very interesting to me, not just because the destination is something extraordinary. What I appreciate the most is that Edelweiss has agreed to run the tour, even though the minimum number of participants has not been reached. On the 3,400 mile long route we did see places I would not have found when travelling on my own. Also, I have been pleased to hear that Thomas Ritt would be the tour guide on my trip. I have been to New Zealand with Thomas and know that he is an excellent tour guide. He even did tell us stories and insider info you would not find in any travel guide - well done. Edelweiss has chosen the best hotels in the various places, which all have been located beautifully. And the motorcycles have been in excellent condition too - I even got a brand-new motorcycle handed out! My special thanks go to Mrs. Maag from the German agency Reisebüro Eudenbach-Müller. Throughout the entire booking process Mrs. Maag did keep me informed about news and updates - she really did a great job.
