The tarmac roads in New Zealand are already blessed with very little traffic, but the gravel roads there are usually completely deserted. On this tour you can experience all the major highlights of New Zealand as well as many hidden treasures and unknown corners.
From Christchurch we make our way over numerous dirt roads and passes in the direction of Queenstown. On the rest day you can relax, participate in some extreme sports activity, or embark on an adventurous off-road motorcycle tour. Afterwards we head over to the wild West Coast, through untouched rainforest, past crystal-clear lakes and with frequent forays to interesting and challenging trails. By ferry we cross the Cook Strait to the North Island, to Wellington where we spend our second rest day.
Between motorcycle riding, sightseeing, and the unique food scene, Wellington really does appeal to everyone. Afterwards we visit the Art Deco city of Napier, discover the snow-covered volcanoes of Tongariro and cross the jungle of the Te Urewera National Parks. We enjoy the countless curves of the Forgotten World Highway and then descend into the caves of Waitomo to see the indigenous New Zealand glowworm. Before the tour ends in Auckland, we ride around the Coromandel peninsula, known as “New Zealand in a nutshell”. Beautiful beaches, countless curves, fresh seafood; it’s pure delight. It won‘t be easy for you to say goodbye to this paradise on the other side of the world.
