Day 13: Fes (back) to Chefchaouen

Approaching the Blue City for the second time this trip, closing our loop on this Morocco tour. The city view keeps amazing us!

Day 12: Rest day in Fes

In Fes, again, we took a guided tour in the old town.
One of the entrance gates - Form inside and Outsider.
It dates back to the 13th century.
Next stop: one of the 2 palaces of the king.
Visiting a pottery, we could see the process from "dirt" to mosaiques and other precious products.
From a rooftop, we watched the tanners at work.This place is a world heritage and dates back to 11th century.

In Fes is the oldest university (...we were told...)
Morocco is also famous for its sweets (linke i.e. nougat and nuts with honey)

In an old islamic school. Today, it is a museum and the students go to university.

In the evening, we came back to the Medina for some Thai dinner at a quite well hidden restaurant

Day 11: Erfoud to Fes

Start for the longest riding day (423km), through Erfoud

Day 10: Erg Chebbi to Erfoud

Day 9: Boumalne Dades to Erg Chebbi and overnight stay in desert camp

Day 8: Ouarzazate to Boumalne Dades

Day 7: Marrakech to Ouarzazate

Our today's tour took us further south, through the Atlas mountains.
Well paved roads, as well as... sites accompanied us..
Between Marrakech and Ait Ben Haddou
Passing the highest point today... over 2.000 meters.
Lunch time

Some scenes of Gladiator and Game of Thrones were shot here.

Many well known movies were (partly) made here:
Gladiator, Black hawk down, Asterix and Cleopatra, and many more - we had to take a tour!

Day 6: Rest day in Marrakech

For the start, we took a guided Tour in the Medina (old town)

Sontaya and Radab bought some local clothes (and posed as Jedi).
We found a beautiful rooftop restaurant for lunch

Day 5: Rabat to Marrakech

Our first stop today was at the famous Hassan II. mosque in Casablanca
We took a guided tour, to learn more about it

Once, being in Casablanca - one HAS to visit this well known location (from the famous movie)!
The lunch was delicious

Day 4: Chefchaouen to Rabat

Here comes Thailand!

Day 3: Ceuta to Chefchaouen

Day 2: Malaga to Ceuta

Early morning in Malaga
Starting off with a ride through the Andalusian Mountains and a visit to the beautiful city of Ronda. Puente Nuevo connects two parts of the city over a 120m deep canyon: impressive!
