Day 1 - Arrival in Chiang Mai

The group from  Canada : Steve, Peter, Carlos, John, Don, Jeff and Nigel. And Woddy from the US.

They all arrived 1 day earlier to see Chiang Mai. After the welcome briefing and bike handover everybody is excited about the tour start tomorrow.

Day 2 - Chiang Mai - Chiang Kham - 330 km

What a great first riding day! After leaving bussy Chiang Mai we had some really nice twisty mountain roads with perfect tarmac. Getting to Rico's resort was a perfect end of the day and the bootbeer tasted great after the hot day.

Day 3 - Chiang Khong - Nan - 300 km

300 km riding at its best! The road 1148 and all the rest today was exeptional. Curve after curve in outstanding scenery. And the road conditions were excellent. The first coffee stop in the morning at a biker cafe had good coffee and a great view. The group did really well and enjoyed the day very much.

Day 4 - Restday Nan - 320 km

Today  we had our first and only restday. But this group did not want to rest. We went for an extreme ride to the Lao border with some challenging road conditions,  but everybody did well. We visited a school in the morning and had a delicious noodle soup for lunch in a small village. Great day!

Woody always in the front row!

Day 5 - Nan - Chiang Khong - 340 km

Another day on motorcycle paradise! We headed North on nice sweeping roads. Along the Lao border the road got tighter with great views. The hike to Pu Chi Fa was steep but worth the effort, the  view over Laos was just amazing.

The last stretch went along the Mekong, the lifeline of Southeast Asia,  to our wonderful hotel Sakuna Resort.

Day 6 - Chiang Khong - Mae Ai - 230 km

After a really long ride yesterday,  we had a shorter one today, but it was quite intense. The morning ride along the Mekong and the Golden Triangle were relaxing,  but than we climbed the mountains on challenging roads along the Myanmar border. And the curves did not end.

Day 7 - Mai Ai - Pai - 270 km

A day full of highlights! elephants, waterfall, local village and at the end the road of the thousand curves to Pai.

At night we went into Pai and explored the bar area.

Day 8 - Pai - Mae Sariang - 270 km

Today we were heading South to Mae Sariang on the legendary Mae Hong Son loop, over 1800 curves!!!!! What a great ride!

At lunchtime we took a longboat to a Longneck village and had a really good time there strolling around.

Day 9 - Mae Sariang - Chiang Mai - 270 km

Unfortunately our last riding day. But not a boring one. Great scenery and great riding. A  nice lunch at a waterfall and some challenging roads before Chiang Mai.

The city traffic coming into town was not too bad today and we all made it!!!! Congratulations to a great group!
