RIDING DAY 1 - Erding to Rothenburg

What a rainy day - but we had fun anyway !

We left Erding on small country roads and rode through the Hallertau - lagest contiguous hop-growing area in the world. After a short part on the highway wie followed the Altmühl valley and ended up in Eichstätt where we had lunch.

Our final destination for today was Rothenburg ob der Tauber, one of the most famous mediieval twons in Germany. Here you feel like in a fairy tale!

RIDING DAY 2 - Rothenburg to Heidelberg

A good start in the morning without rain made our group happy!

Today we passed trough a true fary tale landscape over Baden-Württemberg, where the famous university city of Heidelberg is waiting for us tonight.Today we drive much less kilometers than yesterday but there is a lot to see. The Schönberg Monastery, for example, which dates back to the 12th century. Or Hirschhorn Castle. The weather is great and we got a nice impression of how beautiful you can bring traditional medieval architecture and modern civilization in harmony. Driving there was also a lot to experience. A successful day.

Oder as Schloss Hirschhorn.

RIDING DAY 3 - Heidelberg to Ribeauvillé

What a great day...... SUN, CURVES AND A LOT OF FUN!!!!!!

Welcome to the Black Forest! Today we left Heidelberg in direction south on the highway to save time for curvy roads in the Black Forest.

We stopped for a coffee in Bad Herrenalb in Albtal valley. On the oldest German holiday road B500 we climbed up till 3300 feet and had lunch at Mummelsee. On small and twisty roads we continued to reach the Rhine river valley, where we crossed the border to France

REST DAY - Ribeauville

Today is a rest day, so we take it easy. The day starts a little later than usual and that is also good. This gives us some time to let the experiences of the last few days sink in and draw strength for the rest of the tour. Ribeauville is made for this. The place radiates a wonderful French flair. Rest day does not mean that we do not ride a motorcycle. Who wants can turn with the tour guide a round on the "route de cretes". In the afternoon we all meet in the courtyard of our hotel to enjoy some French joie de vivre... simply dreamlike.

RIDING DAY 4 - Ribeauvillé to Schaffhausen

Today we leave France and ride across Germany into Switzerland. Once again, the Black Forest awaits us with countless curves. In the middle of the Black Forest lies the Hexenloch Mill. Not exactly located on a main road it offers the full load of world-famous traditions. Black Forest cake, cuckoo clocks, ham - just everything. In the afternoon Claudia waits for us in the middle of nowhere and serves us an excellent picnic. Freshly strengthened, we tackle the last kilometers towards Schaffhausen. A stop at the famous Rhine Falls may not be missing of course.

RIDING DAY 5 - Schaffhausen - Warth

This was a really great day with beautiful weather - that's what we like on a bike.

Today we went "really" into the mountains, into the Alps. First we rode along Rhine river and crossed it over the old wooden bridge in Diessenhofen. Lake Constance was still hidden below clouds this morning, but after two hours the sun melted them away.

Säntis was our stop for lunch today. We took the gondola up on top of the mountain and enjoyed the beautiful view - 360 degrees around.

After a short photostop at Liechtenstein we climbed up Furkajoch and Hochtannbergpass.

RIDING DAY 6 - Warth - Erding

Our last day of riding is dawning. Today we return to Erding, the starting point of our tour.  Our day begins as usual in the Alps with beautiful curves. We drive down into the Lech Valley, to the Plansee where we enjoy our morning coffee in breathtaking scenery. A little later we reach our first highlight, Linderhof Castle. One of the fairy tale castles of Ludwig the 2nd of Bavaria. Only a few kilometers later we have the opportunity to visit the world famous Ettal Monastery and its church. In the afternoon, unfortunately, it gets a little damp. But the famous German highway without speed limit, we could still test extensively. What a tour

Unser letzter Fahrtag bricht an.
